We saw this place from the St Charles street car and decided to stop in on the way back from a Garden District self-guided walking tour (wear stout shoes, by the way, as the sidewalks are terrible!). It's a local, home-style diner but, gosh, do they serve gigantic portions ... any of the plates we had could easily have served... More

My husband and I flew in to New Orleans early on a Wednesday morning and needed to eat before exploring the area. I had found this cafe while researching for this trip. The review that closed the deal for me was that it was a diner that was frequented by police for meals. I knew that this was a good... More

Waitress was very attentive. Our table ordered breakfast to deep fried oysters. The food was good. After an hour the place was empty and we still hadn't been served our food. If the kitchen weren't so slow we would have had breakfast there every morning

Good food, great service. We have eaten breakfast there many times. Eggs and ham = eggs cooked how you want them and a fat slice of ham.

This place was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Nothing fancy just home cooked southern food. It was good, service was fine. The grits were not as good as some other places but if you haven't had them you wouldn't know.

We ate breakfast there most of our stay. Their breakfast is plentiful. They don't skimp on the food. Good southern food. Can't wait to get back.

We will never return to this restaurant. We have given this restaurant several chances as we didn't want to base our experience on one incident but they have not improved their service or food. We waited over an hour for bacon and eggs and a po-boy and then when it arrived at our table, it was cold. The server was... More

The food was good but the sanitary conditions left a lot to be desired. The person bussing tables used a filthy rag that was balled up to buss table after table. The floor was filthy. We won't go back.

Service was pretty good, food just below average. Was ok, but one visit was enough. Was close to our hotel so wanted to check it out. Quite liked the homemade hash brown, different and tasty. Bacon/Ham and gravy was less desirable, not our cup of tea.

Thank Nicole W
