Had reservations for 6 at 8:15. Started off the experience with it taking at least 15 min to even see the hostess. Granted a table of 16-20 was seated right when we got there and are hopefully attributing the SLOW service to that group, as...More

We had breakfasts and a dinner at M Bistro. The menu has not large but there is something for everyone. The food is great, it was presented well, and the staff was awesome.

My husband and I loved M Bistro. We sat in the cheaters booth with a perfect view of the live jazz band playing in the Davenport Lounge. Ambiance was romantic. Staff was very attentive and Michael was an excellent waiter! Food was fresh and tasted...More

On a whim, we went to Mr. B's without a reservation. We only waited 20 minutes for a table and it was worth the wait. The waiters were old school and were dresssd in tuxes and the menu was truly regional Creole cooking. The shrimp...More

After a long day at a conference we wanted a guaranteed good meal-- so we headed to The Ritz knowing the restaurant there would have good food, wine and service! It turned into an amazing dining experience with some incredible food! It seems the hotel...More

We had the breakfast buffet the first morning of our trip. It was quite a spread--comparable to any Sunday bunch at any 5 star restaurant. Our best meal, however, was the gumbo for dinner one night. We had had way to much rich food all...More

On our last night in New Orleans, we decided to give our hotel restaurant, M Bistro, a try to avoid Mardis Gras craziness. Having dined at Restaurant Revolution and Commander's Palace the previous two nights, we tempered our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised. Our food...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
