Delicious chicken, ribs, coleslaw & mac n cheese. We took our 4 and 2 year old and they enjoyed it too!

I can;t say enough good things about the food at The Joint. The pulled pork sandwich was wonderful and so was the salad with the smoked tomato dressing. We went for lunch on a break from the conference I was attending. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back!

I loved this place. Nostalgic neighborhood 'joint' for great bbq & drinks. Everything we ordered was scrumptious (I even ate the left overs cold later, and I never do that). Don't miss out on this one.

We always have a meal at The Joint in our yearly visit to New Orleans. It's not changed in these years, still great. A majority of the customers are locals from the Bywater District in New Orleans, along with a smattering of tourists like us. The whole ambiance and local is very, very New Orleans. Very authentic. Very comfortable. Very... More

this little place is in the bywater of NOLA. We are lifetime southerners (100 miles n of nola) and had never been here. But you HAVE to go! If you don't go, you will miss the best BBQ from New Orleans to the Carolina's! We knew it was a local place and we would have a "locals" experience. (they are... More

We visited The Joint for lunch during our recent trip to New Orleans. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. If you are looking for the best ribs in the USA, this is the place to go. You can even buy rub sprinkle so you can prepare your own ribs at home. This was my fourth visit... More

Chicken was good, pork and ribs were dry and not flavorful. Potato salad was nasty, beans and macaroni were okay nothing spectacular.

Melt in your mouth goodness here! Six took taxi from Marigny Triangle to try out this award-winning BBQ. I must admit I needed to be convinced. One taste of my brisket burnt ends and pulled pork had me swooning. Mac n cheese and slaw were delicious as well. Other family members had brisket and chicken, and potato salad. Lots of... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
