My husband and I saw The Joint on Diners Drive-ins and Dives and since we were in New Orleans decided to give it a try. We are from Kansas City and there are great BBQ joints everywhere. We have lived all around and found that...More
Had heard about this place from someone who had went there and raved about it, so we thought we would try it. So glad we did! The food was sooooo good! We had the brisket, mac & cheese and their coleslaw. Everything was outstanding. Only...More
During our Mardi Gras holiday this very small BBQ restaurant had been at the top of our places to eat list throughout the trip planning but it was unfortunately disappointing.

No reservations, but I'll concur they're not ever needed. One thing that I will add is that the locals swarm to this place, so it gets more crowded over lunch or right at the end of the workday. You can avoid the "crowdedness" by skewing before noon or after perhaps 6 PM. (The locals get off usually at 5 PM and many are picking up take-out.)
