I had the chicken salad sandwich which was great. This cafe is in the old bank. You can still see the vault.

My husband and I had lunch here - super good and super cheap. I had a patty melt and my husband had a hamburger. We shared an order of fries and drank sweet tea. Cool interior and friendly service :) I think it's called "The Buffalo Cafe" now.

Friendly people and great food. A must stop when traveling through. Down home atmosphere and still has the old bank safe in the wall.

Exactly what you'd expect in a small-town cafe: burgers, chicken salad, BBQ, etc. Sodas, beer and wine in bottles. Lunch for 2 = about ten bucks. No reason not to have a meal here (there is only one other restaurant in town, and we didn't try it). Don't expect fine dining. Expect a decent meal in a neat building, for... More

My grandsons and I were visiting Plains and had lunch here. The boys are gluten free. It is not unusual for them to order a hot dog or hamburger without a bun. In Atlanta when they order this way it frequently causes the servers great confusion and frustration as to how to order something without a bun! Well, here we... More

When we entered the Old Bank Cafe, we were greeted by a young lady asking us to try the fried peanuts, and some of the fresh made peanut butter ice cream. Of course we tried both. The fried peanuts were really very good, we bought a big bag to take in the camper. We tried a sample of the ice... More

Nice outside seating area, great service. Average sandwiches, but the fried green beans were awesome, nice, light, crispy coating. Had never had them before, but would definitely recommend.

It's really the Buffalo, not the Old Bank Cafe. Very simple fare but a large menu. I had the pimento cheese sandwich. FYI: "toasted" means the bread was toasted. It doesn't mean grilled. Service can be slow. It's located next to the peanut store.

We went to Plains for the Peanut Festival. Although the restaurant was very crowded during this time, the food came quickly and had a great taste. The room is very small, but does have an outdoor seating area if not too hot. The table service was quick and efficient. The menu is limited to foods like hamburgers, sandwiches, fries, etc.... Trip advisor lists the address as Moon St. It is on Main St. Looks like a quaint place. Unfortunately is was closed for Labor Day weekend when we stopped hoping to have lunch there.
