My partner and I were in Paris for the rugby and were staying close to the restaurant. We had dinner there and it was superb. The food was fantastic and the staff were most helpful and attentive. We have been to Paris a number of...times and had several great meals but this was amongst the very best- highly recommended.More

We walked the neighborhood from our accommodations from the Holiday Inn. In passing two sidewalk cafes, we spotted this amazing restaurant. It had so many awards on the windows including a French award, one, I am familiar with. We had advertised in it from the...Cajun Bayou county of Louisiana. As I open the door, I was greeted by a fine dressed lady who I ask if they had an English menu. She nodded yes and It took about twenty seconds after reviewing to realize we hit the jackpot for fine dining. We sat down and took our time ordering a bottle Bordeaux wine; a choice my wife selected. They brought us some olives as an appetizer, a couple of glasses of non sparkling water. We took our time as we selected from our dinner menu. The menu had a relaxing dinner special, one appetizer, entrée and dessert. My wife had an amazing pesto style salad along with celery with quinoa that was absolutely amazing. I had prawns split in half with a creamy base along with the vegetables that was outstanding. For the entrée, my wife had a linguine dish was so good that there was nothing left from the generous portion. I had a sliced fillet with potatoes and could not stop to the plate was empty. For dessert, my wife had the cream Brulé and I had the French toast both delivered in great presentation just like everything else prior. They knew it was our 34th anniversary and brought along some fireworks to help us celebrate. Their mascot, Mike Tyson, their pet dog, could be seen making sure all was well. After we got acquainted, we were delighted to meet Chef Jerome and his wife Malika. I didn’t know they were a couple when she greeted us the moment we walked in to the restaurant. She spoke great English & was able to convey a story to Jerome about a culinary school lab was in Thibodaux Louisiana and was at our hotel. The John False at NSU had a been sponsored in 2010 by Chef Paul Bocuse. It was part of our hotel till May 2015. This connection made a great evening and the best we could of possibly imagine! After taking some pictures we enjoyed a couple of glasses of champagne along with some orange puff chips, along with some chocolate truffles. Thank you for treating us like family in an evening that lasted nearly 3 fine hours. I know they were celebrating a new book written by Malika, contributing to the restaurant and I hope for the best in all their future success. Whenever we do return, we know that we will be back here and make sure we have reservations along with the proper attire to fit the service. I also want to say the young gentleman not in our pictures I took part in making the effort of our table perfect. Thank you all.More

We decided to try this place on a whim. Just because it was close and had a good reputation. We did not book in advance, still we found the warmest hospitality ever. Malika, the heart and soul of the place was our guide during this...amazing culinary adventure. There were a lot of us, but is was not a problem. We were greeted with the kindest words, the most delicious food and drinks, and also imaginative gifts. And Tyson is a gem. And they speak excellent English.More

I had my first dinner here recently and will definitely be returning because it was a sublime dining experience from start to finish. Why was it so good? - the ambience was refined but informal - the service was genuinely personal but not over attentive...- my main course (lamb) was beautifully cooked & featured a good variety of seasonal vegetables - the apple tart was baked to perfection (a house speciality) - the house champagne was of good quality & perfectly chilled I was working late that evening & had not booked a table; however, this was not a problem & I was made to feel very welcome. It’s rare these days to come across a restaurant like this - petit bijou!More

I researched this restaurant prior to travel as a special dining experience for my wife’s birthday. I was not disappointed. The food was fantastic with great friendly service. Unlike, the normal tourist type restaurants the menu was carefully structured and the meals we chose were...excellent. Try it you will not be disappointed, we weren’t.More

We found La Barriere de Clichy through Trip Advisor! What a find. It was the best restaurant we could find within walking distance of our hotel. It is a treasure! What a lovely restaurant, food, ambiance, and service. We felt welcomed and at home within...the first 5 minutes. Nalika, the hostess, and Jerome, the chef, were exceptional. However, Tyson, the bulldog greeter also played an important role, making us feel “at home” in France. The food, wines, and desserts were exceptional! You will not go wrong having a civilized meal at La Barriere de Clichy.More

What an experience! From the wonderful service, to the delicious food, to the reasonable pricing, we didn't go wrong. My colleague ordered an alcohol-free beer and was told they didn't have any. Then 5 or 6 minutes later the server brings one. They must have...sent out for it. That's attention to the customer. The whole meal was like that.More
