We have eaten previously at How to Cook a Wolf which is the same ownership and just loved that. However, Anchovies and Olives food wasn't at the same level. We did enjoy the focaccia with a nice anchovy taste and all liked the small plate of Hamachi crudo [4 pieces so good for a group of 4 to have 1... More

We made a reservation via Open Table, and when we arrived, we where seated in a table in a dark corner, right near the door. It was freezing (it has been unusually cold in Seattle). We asked to be moved, but there were no open tables so we ended up sitting at the bar. Which under the circumstances, was better... More

We did an "early bird" thing to avoid the crowd (we just wanted to do something low key that day, dinner and movies thing). Big surprise it was raining, but we got lucky with our parking 2 blocks away. This place was easy to find. We had reservations (not like we needed it though since there were only other 2... More

Dining at Anchovies and Olives reminds us that a pleasant neighborhood setting, competent service, and creative food makes a very very good restaurant. The Anchovies and Olives menu is well suited to sharing. The Ethan Stowell restaurant specializes in Italian seafood dishes served on small plates. Be sure to try at least one dish with one of Ethan Stowell's famous... More

This is my neighborhood go to restaurant. Staff is always pleasant and helpful and I have never had a bad meal. Last night went with a friend to celebrate my b'day. After one glass of wine the waitress asked if she'd like another. My friend only wanted half a glass, which they surprisingly accommodated. We shared the smoked fish crostini... More

Old Eeth brings it again. His flavors is on point and this be as good as his other joints. The apps might make you cream your jeans.

I went to Anchovies & Olives with visitors from Yakima, where restaurant choices are limited. We happened to go during "Dine Around Seattle," and we all enjoyed a surprising variety of delicious starters. Two of us had the bigoli, a pasta sauced with anchovies, olive oil and herbs. It was excellent! One had rigatoni with pork ragu; portions are generous... More

Wow! What an amazing dinner with a large group of friends. Service was perfect - the multi course meal was as good as I've ever had. Highlights included an amazing squid ink pasta and prosciutto dish, smoked black cod with couscous, fried oysters, and a panna cotta that finished off a great meal. It's worth the trip if you're downtown!!

This restaurant has a very modern feel. It's in a bright and large open plan room with an open kitchen. Standard Italian fair but well executed and tasty. Decent wine and good service.

My favorites were the soft boiled eggs (with anchovy), hamachi-so light & fresh, the anchovy app & the broccoli This a must do if you're visiting Seattle.
