I have eaten here several times over the last few years and have never been disappointed, the staff is great, food really good and the bartenders are all masters of their craft. The food here is classic Bistro, I like the specials they have but their Steak Frittes is worth coming in for, always perfectly cooked and the fries are... More

Hubby and I were waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant, and decided to get a drink to pass the time. We found Bastille around the corner and decided to give it a try. Hubby ordered an Agave Sour and pronounced it quite tasty. I had the Lily Fix, and it was so good I ordered another. We didn't... More

Bastille is my favorite restaurant in Ballard. I love to come here with friends, when family is visiting (my parents from out of town LOVE this place), or for a romantic dinner with my husband. The ambiance is lovely, the staff is professional and friendly, and the food is creative and ever-changing. I can eat amazing food without breaking the... More

Fabulous French restaurant (which is no surprise given its name). I had the oysters, pâté and the marinated beets for appetizers followed by salad, chicken and dessert. All excellent. A couple of cocktails rounded out the mix and made for an enjoyable evening. Not exactly inexpensive but worth the price for a special occasion and they do have some budget... More

First of all, the decor is perfect. You feel like you just walked into a Paris restaurant. Very French. It is also quite loud, so not the place for quiet conversations. I rated it "average" because there was nothing between "average" and "very good". The food was tasty, but the chef was a bit heavy-handed with the salt. The portions... More

Popped in with a couple of buddies on a Tuesday night (Tuesday nights are great nights to go out in Ballard - lots of availability in restaurants and bars), and we passed two great hours over good food and good conversation. I started with a tiki-style cocktail of 5 yr old rum, three different fruit juices, vanilla, and bitters -... More

We arrived and were quickly whisked to our table. We had prompt, discreet service from our waiter. The food was excellent, especially the frites! We will absolutely visit again soon.

My friend and I came here for happy hour and I have to say it was amazing! The food is French and was so good! Happy hour is only served in the bar, so come early...this place fills up fast! The waitstaff was attentive and super nice and always noticed when we needed more water, never had to ask! Happy... More

Good spot to bring visiting family from out of town. Feels fancy and like a "city" restaurant. Fun atmosphere and bar in the back too.

Took customers to Bastille's tonight. We were very pleased with the entire experience. Great atmosphere in front and large bar in back. Played jazz music that set a nice tone. Had the liver pate and smoked tuna for apps. Everyone liked them both. The chicken dish was very flavorful. Had a nice crispness. Customer had the trout in some sort... More
