Okay, this restaurant is VERY EXPENSIVE. We only went here because my husband received a gift card. We went for the early happy hour and sat at the bar. "Service charge is included and retained by El Gaucho and distributed as determined by the agreements in place with our valued employees." We had a nice waiter and I ordered the... More

I've been to many luxury restaurants (Per Se, Eleven Madison Park, Canlis, etc.) and this was the first time I've felt totally ripped off. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was excellent, but the food was mediocre and the prices sky high. Three of us with one bottle of one of their most inexpensive wines and the bill was almost... More

I went to El Gaucho with 11 other people from the company I work for. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated. Since we were 12 people we had reserved a separate room that was also nice. Overall I felt that the service was great, the waiters were quick, polite and helpful. I ordered my steak medium rare, and the... More

Visited as a group of 4 to celebrate a birthday. Arrived 15 minutes early but were seated promptly and offered drinks immediately. Food order was taken quickly and appeared without a very long wait. Just as well as we'd flown in from London and were starving!! Wine waiter arrived and knew what he was talking about serving us a really... More

stepping into El Gaucho takes you back in time. The restaurant is dimly lit with light posts providing ambiance. There was live piano and I felt transported back in time. The service was impeccable and although the food is not cheap, the restaurant offers only the best. I had visitors from out of town and they thoroughly enjoyed as well.

When our original Christmas work party plan fell through, we were able to get a table at El Gaucho. I've heard so many good things about this place so I was intrigued. Might as well take advantage of the valet parking. Free with dinner. Normally this is not my kind of place. Not a bad thing. I'm not one to... More
