Went here for lunch with a friend and had their warm turkey, cranberry sandwich, warm (if I could underline that I would) apple pie a pickle and then shared some of my friends clam chowder and had a bite of her blackened salmon salad. All...More

Came here for lunch each day while I had jury duty; they make great, quality sandwiches that are inexpensive; same goes for the apple pie. For those who have never been, don't be put off by the owner's demeanor at the register, he has a...More

The turkey sandwich is great with horseradish, mayo & cranberry sauce. I love the lemon pie. There is a certain cafeteria feel to the place and so the picture of the couple that I saw was misleading.

The guy who owns Bakeman's would like you to try the pie. The pie is good. Try the pie. You won't regret it.

Having lived away from Seattle for a decade, it was refreshing to visit a restaurant I always had liked that has been a Seattle staple for 47 years. The turkey is still freshly cooked and piled onto their sandwiches and their turkey noodle soup still...More

We stopped by Bakeman's before our Underground tour. The service was fast, the sandwiches were excellent (I had the meatloaf and my husband had the pastrami), but the gentleman running the cash register was pushy. I commented that the lemon poppyseed dessert looked good and...More

Used to go to Bakeman's regularly for lunch takeout, than was no longer downtown, and thus the hiatus. Business downtown, went back of course. Had the usual turkey sandwich. Great taste, as always. Tomorrow, I'll get another old favorite - meat loaf. A good solid...More

The turkey sandwich and Bakeman's in general is an institution in Seattle. Like the Seinfeld Soup Nazi, be ready to order like the regulars or you'll test the patience of some of the staff. Love the turkey sandwich with the cranberry sauce...it's nothing exotic, but...More
