I really really like SEA-TAC airport (see prior review for airport). There is just so many cool things to like about it. One of these things is the super convenient Ivar's Fish Bar in the central terminal. As soon as I got off the plane, I was in the mood for some good chowder. Ivar's makes really good chowder. I... While visiting Seattle we had to go to Ivar's as the fish and chips are wonderful and nice to be out by the Ocean when eating. Had the cod while my wife had salmon. You cannot go wrong with the quality and quantity here and for a good price.

Love to watch as we place our order...it's the way that the trays are stacked that indicates what you have just ordered. The chowder, fish, and clams tasted just as good as they did many years ago when we lived in Seattle.

The Clam Chowder here is infamous..!!! The waterfront location has seating right on the pier so you can watch ferry boats coming and going, and feel free to feed the Seagulls, they will actually take fries right out of your hand. Pretty much a Seattle ritual. The fish N Chips are very good, perhaps not the best in town, but... More

You can't go to Seattle and not visit Ivar's, unless you are allergic to seafood or you are a vegetarian or just plain unlucky. What works: Everything on the menu. Clam Chowder, Fish and Chips and Battered Oysters; can't miss the classics. What doesn't work: Probably nothing. With Ivar's outlets dotting the Seattle area, you really don't have an excuse... Restaurant right next to the water. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. The employees were extremely friendly. The clam chowder was so awesome, the best I've tasted anywhere. Definitely will be back.

I really like the Halibut fish and chips here. It is not oily. I adore the taste of Clam Chowder soup. Also feeding the seagulls behind the restaurant is so fun.

Between 3-7pm.. $5 bowl of clam chowder that is the best I've had to date (being from the prairies). Fast, fun and right on the water.

Ivar's Seafood Bar is a fast-food extension to the full-service restaurant, Ivar's Acres of Clams. They serve a variety of options for fish and chips, as well as chowder and salads. The food is extremely tasty and is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner while touring Seattle. You can sit next to the waterfront and enjoy your meal.

Absolutely amazing seafood! Their clam chowder is one of my favorites, and a must every time I visit Seattle. My husband and I tried several different dishes, and were not disappointed.
