If you're looking for chowder, this is a good place! It has a ton of different types (8, I think?) and it's all really delicious and well seasoned. Unfortunately, you can tell by the lines that people like this place so well...it takes quite a bit of time to get in and there's not really any seating inside. :( It's... More

Ok-I hate lines as most people do. But face it if you go to a place and it's empty you probably think twice. This is a place with a line that provides the greatest Chowder (capital C) I have had the pleasure to enjoy!!! Chat up the folks near you in line--once they decide what they want as that may... Their chowder is very famous. Regardless what season of the year...there is alway line of people waiting. It is hard to find seating during weekend. You can ask for sample to taste before ordering it. Their crab sandwich is my favorite. There are different flavor showers also.

My friends and I were cold and hungry after a day of adventuring in Seattle, and stopped here for lunch. It was so warm and satisfying! My hometown has been without a decent chowder house for almost a decade now, so I was really happy we stopped in.

Cold and rainy days are a constant in Seattle and thanks to Pike Place Chowder, you'll get your hot food fix with this Post Alley staple. If your hungry, I recommend getting their chowder sampler and get a taste of their best selling chowders. Still hungry? add on their crab roll and for sure you'd have enough energy to go... More

The food here is an excellent value, which is probably why the line is always so crazy long. On the weekends, it feels like you can stand for over 30 minutes in line. We had a variety of dishes and they all came out quick, hot, and delicious.

We lined up with about 25 people in line in front of us. We had a party of 6 and the line moved along pretty well. Even with the size of our group, we were able to find seating together - the patrons move through pretty quickly. The new england clam chowder was the favorite of the group. Would have... More

This place is the first restaurant people recommend when we ask about places to try in Seattle. I was expecting to be blown away by their chowder but it was by far just mediocre. We waited for a little under 20 minutes which I didn't mind and is part of the appeal. We tried the classic New England as well... More
