Arctic Roadrunner is one of Alaska's "institutions" and is well-loved by many locals. Prior to last week, I had a vague memory of eating here as a kid a time or two (I grew up on the Kenai Peninsula), but that's about it. Although I have lived in Anchorage since 2011, I had put off visiting my dad's favorite place... More

This is a great place to get a burger. I suggest getting the Western burger or the salmon burger. All fun choices and very tasty.

In Anchorage on business, needed a quick bite between meetings. Local staff tell me I should try this little place next to their parking lot, but I'd need cash. So I give it a try, trusting that the Halibut Burger would be half as good as I've been told it is...WOW! Thick slab of Halibut grilled just right, served Burger... More

This is a cash only place. I thought this would be a sit down and order resturant, but when you walk in, you check out the menu, order your food at the register, get a number, sit down and wait for your number to be called. There weren't many options which is why it gets 4 stars and not 5,... More

Been going here since 1968. They only take cash so come prepared. The Kenai with old fashion onions rings is my favorite

We stopped by for a quick lunch. You order at the counter and take it to your table. Lots of choices including fish and chicken in addition to traditional burgers. The service was quick and efficient. The sandwiches were very good. Excellent french fries. Lots of locals. You can sit outside by the river.

I really love Arctic Roadrunner. Both locations are clean and decorated with an unique and fun Alaskan flair. The 2477 Arctic Boulevard location is the original restaurant and my personal favorite. I've eaten here so many times and have never ever had a bad experience. I am always sure to bring out of town family and friends to the Roadrunner... More

Craved a good burger, so decided to come here. It was good and fries are fresh not frozen! Interesting photos and stories of Alaskans who have been customers since the 60's.

There must be a good reason this place keeps getting voted best burger in Anchorage year after year. Cheapest place with great food you will find in all of Anchorage. An old dive ambiance with just the right size portions and the food is just plain good. The place has an amazing local character. The walls and ceilings are covered... More
