Six years ago we we choose the wrong week days to visit L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and the resturant was closed. Better luck this time and what a perfect way to end a Saturday! Fresh, lite and modern cooking in a venue that match well. Unfortunately a rainy...day so we had to sit inside.More

As usual, we had a lovely meal with Patrick and his team. Yes, we are regulars, we come every time we return to The Vaucluse, but it remains the highlight of our holiday. Fantastic food, wonderful setting and a friendly staff. We cannot wait for...next time. And, today it was sunny, we sat on the terrace and saw trout, mallards, sparrows, a starling, redstarts, damsel and dragonflies, a short toed eagle and a kingfisher.More

Setting was beautiful. Service was prompt - not overly intrusive. Parking is very limited. Although the food was seasonal, fresh and honest with good execution - it did not live up exactly to what one would expect of a Michelin restaurant - presentation was spot...on. My advice to anyone passing through would be to order the 3 course menu of the day/week with a good Provencal Rose for lunch, or perhaps a la carte for supper. The terrace with the river and forraging ducks made for a tranquil setting.More

The food was delicious. The service was not particularly gracious, which was a disappointment. Usually at such expensive meals, the service is a bit friendlier and more attentive.More

Sadly, TripAdvisor does not have a “good” category. This is a good restaurant in a beautiful position (if you eat outside) on the river Sorgue, to the sound of blackcaps skimming across the water. There is no question that a lot of work goes into...each dish but, as a few other commentators have mentioned , some of the dishes merit a Michelin star more than others. For example, the chocolate and caramel desert is delicious, while the white chocolate and fennel one is underwhelming. Michelin starred establishments have a very high bar , and Le Vivier doesn’t quite make it compared with other starred restaurants that we eat in. So, comparatively, it is only average. Were it not for Michelin expectations, it would rank as very good indeed - and the slightly overpriced lunch menu would be correspondingly lower. Service is very professional.More

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Le Vivier in May 2024. The food was creative and delicious and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. I had made a note about a food allergy during the reservation and was contacted several days...prior to our trip to confirm that the kitchen was aware and would be sensitive to my needs. The evening started with an aperitif on the patio overlooking the river along with a couple amuse bouche and then a delightful, delicious meal followed after that. The food and service were certainly deserving of their Michelin status.More

Superb food which will please the traditionalist (pig's trotter) and the modernist ( dorada graved laks) with a touch of exoticism ( fillet of beef with light Mexican touches). The summit was the fennel ice cream with white chocolate: a monument! Remarkable wine list composed...by sommelier Laurie at very reasonable prices. Only criticism: we came on a busy day (Sunday) and we waited too long for our starters. Overall an outstanding food and wine experience with great value for moneyMore

We had a lovely evening with outstanding dishes. Per normal they were not typical French dishes but meticulously prepared special versions using uncommon combinations of known ingredients producing interesting results and taste. Two tables of Frenchmen next to us were rather loud which was a...little uncomfortable and it’s surprising the number of patrons who arrived rather dressed down for a Friday evening dinner.More
