We visited on a rainy October night and were given the option to sit inside or in the covered terrace. The heaters made the terrace look inviting so we sat there and it was lovely having the rain pounding down on the transparent roof while we snuggled! The service is excellent; attentive and fun. The waiters speak excellent English and... More

Nice food, OK service, sitting in a very nice location in village. we enjoyed our meal and that's that, no insights or have nothing special to add. note that sitting was only outside so early October was already getting chilly, and we ate with our coats on.

With good service and nice location overlooking the river and good quality food this small restaurant gets very busy. We ordered coquilles, tuna tartare to start followed by 2 of the fish of the day (whole john dory). The food was very good and cost 78euro inc 2 glasses of wine & 3 beers. The only negative for us was... More

This restaurant along side the river sorgue is the perfect place to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch. We enjoyed wonderful oysters and fresh prawns both dishes presented beautifully and extremely fresh and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly and the setting along the river is perfect. Beware of the lock on the bathroom door, it's very temperamental and I... More

The best sea food and best service we ever had in France!!! We travelled for 3 days in Provence and chose this restaurant for its good reputation. We booked a table, but unfortunately we were 50 minutes late. It was Sunday lunch time, so there were many people who wanted to eat there. Nevertheless we had a good table, wonderful... More

We had a fantastic lunch here after spending hours walking round the market. Lovely to sit in the shade and be right by the water. The service was great and food was really fantastic. Definitely recommend having fresh fish here.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner here with a great Plat de fruit de mer, and two fishes. The fish "Raie" was not as good as in Brittany/Normandy, but OK. The wait staff were friendly and polite. Recommend.

Came here for lunch and shared the goat's cheese salad and the turbot. Both were delicious. The only slight complaint was that the Asian side salad did not pair well with the fish but all in all, a great meal

I think it's called "Bonita (??) tartar" or something of a sort... raw fish filet with Thai flavors... fantastic! Avoid the prawn-zucchini cake for starters - quite bad. The lobster is good but not stunning. The sashimi (for starters) is great. Creme Brulee was delicious too. Great setting, great service. Very good experience all in all. Not exactly "French" though,... More

Description
At the heart of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, with its terrace by the river, this restaurant is a must for lovers of seafood. Here, you can sample oysters and other tasty shellfish, grilled fish, bouillabaisse a lavish house, salmon or swordfish tartare, but also pickled and smoked fish on site! Meat is no exception, with duck breast, steak or the beef tartare. Not to mention the pool located in the restaurant window, or various crustaceans are offered in plain sight to whet appetites! In the kitchen, the chef prepares gourmet dishes from fresh and fully processed locally season. The wine and champagne, varied and judicious, allows happy associations. Stéphane Moncharmont, owner of the site, said: "We have a" bistro "kitchen, where the art of eating well is reasoned price!". And indeed, here, no need to spend astronomical sums to eat good, nice and plentiful. Simple, lively and animated, it's the perfect place for a meal with friends or "love" ... The smile, the availability and kindness of all the team of Restaurant L'Ecailler, make this place a place where it feels good to come ...
