This is a great ethnic restaurant that we are lucky to have in Omaha. I had never tried Ethiopian before moving to Omaha but it is one of my favorites now. The food is healthy, very flavorful and fun to eat with the injera bread. I always try to take friends and family from out of town to Lalibela for... More

Excellent And authentic. We had the combo plate where all was great! This is in a converted Pizza Hut so the setting is not the best, but the food is!

Found this place while cruising thru Omaha. Good food at a local hideaway! Reasonable price, but it's an all locals crowd!

I have never had Ethiopian food and enjoyed it very much! Had the combination plate which I think was a good thing to get for my first time trying. Then we also got Gored Gored, and Zil Zil. Everything was wonderful. The spiced tea is good but drink it hot, bcz it's kinda like syrup if you let it cool... More

Went to Lalibela knowing pretty much what we would get - amazing Ethiopian food. We had the ever popular combination plate along with an order of yil yil. Tasty, but wish I had ordered mild vs medium heat. The eating of the meal using hands and ingira (sort of Ethiopian spongebread) is always fun and intriguing. Wish they had iced... More

This is a great little place and provides authentic Ethiopian food. I got a combo platter so I was able to try a little of everything and there wasn't a thing I didn't enjoy. If you're up for a new experience mark this on your list.

We decided to try Lalibela as it is close to us and very different than anything else we've had in-town. This was our first time eating anything Ethiopian. We found a very unique experience with good intense flavors all-around. The ambiance was also pretty cool with some mellow music playing in the background. We decided to give the "Combination Plate"... More

I didn't know what to expect here. Never have African food. We got the sampler plater. The beef and red lentils were super good but I will remember this trip because of their tea. It was truly the best tea ever!!!

The food was excellent; the injera was perfect and I also enjoyed the dishes (especially the lentils). The quantity was also excellent--there was more food than I'm used to getting, and two of the three of us didn't finish all of it. And the price was excellent! I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a mom and pop, family-run place with pretty good food in a very modest room. The menu is authentic Ethiopian, prepared in house, including huge rounds of well-made injera. The spicing is toned down for the Midwestern palate which is one reason I am not giving it five stars (I would give this place 3.75 stars if I... More
