I found Big Fred's searching for "pizza near me" while in Omaha recently. While I did not care for the sausage on the pizza my husband liked it. As I waited for the pizza I watched several orders come out and was intrigued by the size of the serving bowls. As it turned out we went back for a total... More

The pizza crust was soggy!!! We have dined there a few months ago with no problem. Don't think we will go back.

I have been going to big Fred's for probably 40 years. They have always had great service and I have never had a bad pizza. It is always a treat when we get the opportunity to stop there. One of my favorite places to take people for pizza. They put lots of toppings and lots of cheese on a thin... More

I've only been to Big Fred's twice, and I will not be returning anytime soon. I've heard from several people I work with that Big Fred's is an amazing place to go. Maybe they meant somewhere else or haven't been there in a while. Either way, I don't need to go back to Big Fred's ever again. Both times I... More

Used to visit with college friends every weekend back in the 1970's prior to closing watching Fred and Rose at the end of the bar chat with their friends. Had a great time then, and the food I think is even better today. My wife and I visit here when we return to Omaha almost every time - Pizza is... More

This is Omaha's go to place for Pizza. Fred Bruning started this place back in the 1950's and nothing has changed much, except his grandson runs it now. But, that is a good thing, the pizza is great, salads are huge, onion rings are to die for and you can bring a big group, make noise and make a mess... More

I have been going to this place for years and have never had a bad meal here. Today, I had lunch with a friend and we ordered a medium hamburger and cheese pizza and an order of garlic bread. The garlic bread came out quickly and was done very well. Our pizza took a little longer, but it was worth... More

Big Fred's is best known for its pizza, which is ok. I am not a huge fan of the Alfredo sauce pizza. The red pasta sauce didn't have much flavor either. I have tried the prime rib and it is good. Both tonight and other times we have gone our order has come out wrong and they fix it (bring... More

We used to eat at Big Fred's when I was a kid, so I was excited to take my family there when we were in town recently. Alas, the food doesn't quite match up to the childhood memories. We ordered three large pizzas: pepperoni, the combo, and the white/chicken pizza. Of the three, the pepperoni was the best; thin-style in... More
