My husband and I were in town for a hockey tournament. We decided to stroll downtown Springfield. Since we had no idea where to eat, we asked a local. He recommended this place. The meatball sub is awesome! Friendly staff and lots of great choices on the menu. Nothing fancy, but we thought the atmosphere was very charming. Lots of... More

Someone used my name & wrote a horrible review about Gallina's & that's not cool the staff is very friendly, they really go out of the way for their customers. Joe the dad is a real sweetheart, Joe the son is my best friend & the mother Rosa is the kindest person you ever want to meet.

I ordered a personal pan pepperoni pizza, and it only cost me about $6. It was really good pizza, and was actually more than I could eat (and I'm a big guy). This was a great find on a Sunday night when there didn't seem to be many other options within walking distance of my hotel. If I'm in town,... More

Had lunch while visiting the area and it was just OK. Yes, the guys at the counter were a little, ahem, stern, but maybe it's a culture thing? I don't know. The pizza wasn't terrible. Hard to cut and floppy when you picked it up. We'd try something else the next time we are in the area.

We went there at my grandson's request after he checked the reviews. The sausage pizza was very greasy, but what really turned me off was the overall cleanliness standards of the staff. To make our salad, the counter guy pulled a bowl of lettuce out of the refrigerator and started slicing and throwing on the tomatoes. He didn't use gloves,... More

We were hungry and searching for a place to eat. It as around 3 pm and many businesses were closed from 1-4. Locals on the street recommended this place. It was fabulous! Staff could barely speak English, but that was not a problem. Generous portions with good prices!

Its not a real big place...but, there is room for dine in. Its family owned and you can see the little italian grandma, back there helping in the kitchen. I have had quite a few things on the menu, The chicken Parmesan dinner is great...as well as the chicken Parmesan sandwich too. The pizza is one of a kind, and... More

This place has good pizza and good lunch time two slice special. The people taking the order and handing over the food are not interested in smiling or acting pleasant. It's all business with them.

We were starving after our Abraham Lincoln walk and this was open and close by. We ordered an xl pizza and it was huge! The sausage was good but i'm not sure if the just wasn't enough sauce or if we just didn't like the flavor of the sauce but it just wasn't our taste. (we're from st. louis so... More
