Eating in the lounge area takes you back to the late 60's early 70's. Great Vibe!!! Food is good and filling. Waitress's have been there for years and know how to take care of their customers.

Now I have to tell you that I am a fan of the Rueben sandwich, in fact if it's on the menu I will try it. I keep going back here, I don't know what it is but it's just the best Rueben sandwich I have ever had

Whenever I am doing business in a new city (in this case, I was speaking at a conference in Springfield, Illinois), I rely on local friends or colleagues to give me suggestions about where to eat. And that is how I ended up going to the Lime Street Café, which I was told is a popular local establishment. Now that... More

I have eaten here occasionally and have never been disappointed. There are lots of interesting dishes and service is friendly. My friend and I both chose the chicken salad on lettuce and it had various veggies alongside. I don't recall the herb added to the salad but it was pretty wonderful. Many of the customers are obviously regulars and it's... More

This was our first visit to the Lime Street Cafe. It is a nice quiet restaurant. The food and service were both very good. The menu is a little on the pricey side. You got the feel that many of the customer were regulars as the staff seemed to know many of them by name. We would go back again.

The food was excellent, the service was good and the piano player talented. I will go back to order off the menu.

Excellent service, nice place for lunch with friends. Seafood salad is incredible with fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, watermelon & cantaloupe) shrimp, crabmeat, crisp lettuce, lovely light dressing, small serving of pasta and a small muffin.

We've lived here for a few years now, friends told us about this place and we finally went there for an evening meal. This is good Midwestern cuisine. Nothing too fancy, a selection of specials. A nice bar with table seating and an adjoining dining room. There is a little of this and a little of that and everything was... More

I met with an old friend that I hadn't seen in years and she suggested we go there. I hadn't been there in years. I was busy but we got our food pretty fast and it was good. we are going back for another get together next month.

Small and very busy at lunch. Had great pear and walnut salad. All the pastries looked wonderful but passed on them.
