We arrived in Iceland very early, 4:30 AM, and had plans to drive to this cafe for breakfast. Our group had heard of this cafe from friends, and we were not disappointed. It is located within a larger building which is part of the active fishing industry on which this town was built, starting with Viking settlements in 934 CE... More

Drove to this little eaterie for a spot of lunch in late December 2017 through wind and snow and what a treat at the end! The lobster soup was to die for. So warming and tasty - I couldn't resist a second bowl! Unlimited bread and a coffee also included! This was one of the simplest meals I enjoyed in... More

Stopped late Sunday afternoon after finding this place serves Lobster soup, a dish a group of friends and I were all looking forward to. We were not disappointed. Rich and flavourful, served with bread for 2000 ISK a bowl. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for Lobster soup while in Iceland.

Small cafe with a great deal (for Iceland) on soup for lunch. Unlimited wheat bread, butter, water, and vegetable soup for around 10 US dollars or lobster soup for around 20 US dollars. We got the vegetable soup and some salmon toast. The barista did not mind that we shared some soup! She has the wifi password as well which... More

We told our afternoon photo guide we wanted to stop for a coffee and he said " I know a place." You drive right into the fishing village in a somewhat out of nowhere arises this yellow facade. The place is small. Probably seating for only 15 or so. There's an inviting pastry case up front and the kettles of... More

We fell upon this little cafe on our recent visit to Iceland, and we were so grateful by the end that we had. The owner, Christian, was an absolute gentleman and enhanced our trip with Viking tales from long ago, as we dined on their spectacular Fisherman's breakfast. To hear / see the area from a local was a real... More

This was the first place we ate at in Iceland, and it definitely set the bar for everywhere else. We got there at noon for the bottomless lobster (langoustine) bisque, vegetable soup, coffee, and all-you-can-eat freshly basked crusy bread. All of it was delicious but the lobster was definitely better than the vegetable (which was hearty and full of veggies).... More

We came here as part of the Reykjanes Peninsula tour through Reykjavik Excursions as the lunch stop for the tour. They had two soups available, Lobster and Vegetable. The vegetable soup was delicious, and each soup came with free refills and included bread and tea/coffee. I had not seen a food price this reasonable since I arrived in Iceland. For... More
