Really great food. Just expensive for the small portions you get. It was also a little quiet in there on a Saturday night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to all dietary needs.

Our favorite restaurant in Cambridge changed so much they lost their way. New decor, new chef, new staff, new menu,. Changed so much that it should have changed the name to warn customers. We loved everything about the old Bambara. Especially their Lobster Sliders. Which were the best in New England. Their other plates were excellent. Their Sunday Brunch was... More
Four of us dined tonight at Bambara, the flagship restaurant of Hotel Marlowe, a Kimpton Hotel. Service was good, the atmosphere was informal Sunday pre-marathonish, yet the dishes were classy and the food was great. I enjoyed the asparagus soup, and a friend had a great beef tartare which he shared - it was delish. My wife had the chicken... More
dropped in for an easy dinner near to our hotel (based on trip advisor reviews) and was not disappointed with the menu variety of the food. Sevice was friendly and efficient in a pleasant restaurant environment, usually, I do not eat in hotel attached restaurants (in favour of independent restaurants) but Bambara exceeded expectations.
The food and drinks were very good. We had 2 'half' pasta dishes and they were great. My only complaint would be the selection of menu options. I'm not a fancy food person, so I don't need octopus on my menu. Nonetheless, even though there were some interesting items on the menu, we were able to find something we liked.
The Kimpton Marlowe in Cambridge is just simply 'spectacular'. I work in Cambridge and some evenings when the weather is bad or I don't want to wait in traffic for hours, I will rest my head here. Each time I've visited (about 4 now) I am greeted with open arms by the front desk. Everyone that I've met at the... More

I picked this restaurant because I knew Kimpton Hotels were pet friendly and I was traveling with my dog. I called ahead to ask if I could bring my dog into the lobby and order food to go. They told me I could and offered to watch my dog at the reception desk for $20/hr if I chose to eat... More
Hello Kara, Traveling with a pet can be a challenge and we at the Marlowe and Bambara want to make your experience as easy as possible. Thank you for your feedback. Best, Amanda M. General Manager More
This is pretty good restaurant. The food is creatively prepared and the service is pretty good. But it's the only good restaurant in this part of Cambridge, so it's a very busy place with a very long wait time for a table if you don't reserve ahead of time.
HelloDon, Thank you for taking the time to visit Bambara and try our new dinner menu! We are happy that you had the opportunity to try Chef Bazirgan creative dishes. Best, Amanda M. General Manager More
I waited out in the lobby for the restaurant to open at 5:30pm for dinner. The social hour was happening. So I sat at the bar, when the restaurant opened. Chris was my bartender. He was great. Because I had kimpton rewards I was able to get the chef's choice. It was a chicken liver patte. I have never had... More
Hello, Thank for you for the glowing review about our bartender Chris. We are happy he was able to make your experience special and ensure you enjoyed the food as it should be made. We hope to see you again soon. Best, Amanda M. General Manager More
I went into the restaurant with my son and sat at the bar .The service was terrible and the bartender Patrick should be fired. Look around the first clue should be hardly any customers..I urge anyone to go elsewhere so many great places all within walking distance
Hello Mr. Munsey, We take our relationship with our staff and guests very seriously. Kimpton Hotel and Restaurants has strong ties to the LGBTQ community and derogatory language is not accepted in our restaurant.
