This is a neighborhood tradition in funky Central Square, Cambridge. Lively bar scene at night. Came in Saturday 10 am for a big match (Barca v Atl Madrid) and left happy (Barca won) but disappointed: (1) two of the best tables for 4 each were reserved and stayed empty for the entire match (except for one person who came around... Nice irish sports bar. it's a bit small so get there early to save seats for friends. Decent selection of draft beers, cocktails, and bar food. I've heard it's a fun spot on the weekends, but during the week it's also great for a drink with some friends. Trivia was better than many I have done in the city.

Always open for big European games, especially Liverpool FC Football and Rugby games, typical bar food done better than most and a selection of drinks that is more on the down home bar for the times when you just need an honest bar and drink and not a work-of-art cocktail.

This is a great spot to watch football (soccer) matches on the weekend, just dont be an Everton fan. I usually go here in the day to watch matches, but the DJ thing they set up at night can be fun, its just totally different than the bar during the day (Pub turns into club). The line and cover is... At this place they don't believe that customers deserve even the minimum respect. They think they can treat customers like trash and still be successful.

We came to watch the Argentina Belgium game and it was a good, fun atmosphere for the game. It is pretty tight in space though so you want to show up early. We were there 45 min before the game and couldn't get seats. I don't think they should allow seats to be held though; there was an empty chair... More

Stopped by on Thursday evening because I was in town visiting sister and we were hungry/needed to eat ASAP. Had to seat ourselves (not sure if there is a hostess?) but were promptly greeted with friendly service. The waitress did not have a knowledge of celiac disease, which posed an issue for my sister ordering from the menu. I tried... More

Great thing about this place is the atmosphere when you're watching a soccer match which is not something you can do in many American bars or pubs. but, it's always too crowded and the staff which is low in numbers cannot really tend to all guests. Last time I was there I wasn't even served.

I had visited the Phoenix Landing many times before moving to Cambridge - this is a top spot to walk EPL, Rugby, and other UK sports events that can't be seen on cable. After moving to Central Square I've also taken advantage of their daily happy hour food specials, weekly trivia night, and weekend DJ nights. My boyfriend and I... More
