We celebrated our anniversary here at the suggestion of our hotel concierge. It was a beautiful and romantic setting and we enjoyed a delicious meal complete with wine, dessert, and coffee, while listening to the waves. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful with our order...and it was not overpriced.More

Well-regarded hotel restaurant with a superb bayside view. There are lots of tables in a variety of configurations in this two-tiered room. Quite busy when we arrived, but a reservation secured us a spot in the premium position. The a la carte menu doesn't seem...to change much but it does run in parallel with a more diverse table d'hote option which is essentially for those on half board. If you fancy the latter rather than the former, just ask. Like most coastal restaurants, there's a big fish bias on the menu so the meat options are rather limited. We visited twice, and as a dedicated carnivore, I had basically the same meal on both occasions. The starter of fruit, cheese and ham was ample and refreshing. I also enjoyed a main course of honey glazed grilled beef slices. Whilst certainly generous, the beef needed rather more accompanying sauce than was originally provided. I can always manage a dessert and the creamy tiramisu was better value than the chocolate torte experienced on my first visit. There's a massive wine list and the range meant that it was possible to find some reasonably priced nuggets. Staff were very efficient, and the guy serving fish at neighbouring tables lent an aura of theatre as he flamboyantly sorted out the flesh from the bone. Plenty of time to drink in the atmosphere here as a three course meal took over 2 hours on each occasion, and no one was being served any quicker than us The bill is exactly what you would expect in a hotel of this quality, and there is no other restaurant locally that engages in this slightly elevated form of dining.More

We stayed at the hotel, but it was the quality of the food and the service of the restaurant staff that made us really like the hotel. The food is indeed very good.

We each had 3 starters and 4 main courses between the 4 of us, trying out the whole menu. It was too much food. The great ones highly recommended from entree were mussels (sweet and juicy), and mains would be the tempura calamari+veg, and black...pasta. The less positive were the anti-pasti and the tuna - my partner suffered immediately for the rest of the day. Pretty sure it was the pulpo...Other than the less positive dishes, the rest of the meal and service was amazing. Make sure you book ahead tho.. lunch is always easier than dinners.More

We really enjoyed the evening we had at La Bitta. We reserved a table for dinner for 7.30 (we were not staying at the hotel) and when we got there we decided to have a drink overlooking the sea. The drinks were accompanied with crisps,...olives, peanuts and two (pp) sandwich bits which were all nice. We then moved into the restaurant and ordered the mussels and clam chowder to start which was fresh and tasty. We then both ordered the black tagliatelle which was also incredibly tasty. Everything was seasoned well and tasted fresh - big portions too. Our total bill (1 starter, 2 mains, bottle of wine, bottle of water and a dessert) cost €97, so a bit more on the expensive side but we felt it was worth it. We spent the same amount on a meal at Arbatasar Restaurant a couple of nights before and we’re overwhelmingly disappointed with it. La Bitta is several times better in our opinion. Nb. The service, from the bar to the restaurant, was all outstanding. We found the service in other bars and restaurants in Sardinia to be a little slow, this was by far the beat.More

Overlooking the beach and marina we enjoyed a good lunch in the hotel La Bitta. Started with fresh oysters from the Arbatax waters followed by two excellent seafood platters. Good and professional service and can recommend this restaurant for a good lunch and/or dinner whenever...in the area.More

We were staying at La Bitta for three nights. Due to our late arrival on our first night, we decided to have dinner at the highly rated restaurant. We were not disappointed in relation to the food although the atmosphere in the dining room resembled...a dining hall more than an intimate restaurant. The waiters were rushed off their feet and it felt a bit cramped and stuffy (despite the fact we got a table by the open terrace doors). In fact, it is a real shame that la Bitta does not offer the option of dining outside – which I imagine would be a blissful experience. (I am really not sure where some of the pictures on TA were taken - when we were there, there was no outdoor dining). My husband had black spaghetti for starters while I had the culurgiones (local gnocchi speciality) – both were excellent. For mains we had the beef and veal, again both melted in our mouths. We had no room left for dessert. The bill came to just under 100 Euro (couple of beers but no wine; 2 coffees and water). Given the price and lack of atmosphere, we opted to walk three minutes up the street and eat at Aqualina for the remaining two nights. Still, that should not be read as a reflection on the quality of the food at La Bitta restaurant.More

Located right on the water with a gorgeous view of a small bay. The service was great and the food delicious. Be sure to order their "catch of the day". The waiter will take you to the cooler to select your fish to be specially...prepared for you. Once cooked, the waiter will dress the fish table side so no need to de-bone. My husband and I selected one appetizer, one catch of the day, and one side which more than satisfied both of us. The wine list is very adequate.More
