Many bakeries are closed in Richmond on Sundays but fortunately this one was open. It is a small shop with just a few tables and a bartop at the front window for seating. There was a very limited selection of breakfast items in their display case - mostly muffins, but we ordered the egg and cheese biscuit, one with ham... More

The WPA Bakery is a must stop if you're in the Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond. The bakery offers a wide selection of pies and cakes baked to order as well as cookies canoles and cup cakes. Our favorite s were the red velvet and carrot cupcakes.

Local bakery that is open early morning til 2 pm. Pastries, pies and cakes. Sunday mornings they have one kind of donut (caries). Homey atmosphere with chairs and couches. Can also order items to use for home use and entertaining!

WPA is a great bakery that offers normal, gluten free, and vegan cake and pie options. They do not suffer on quality for the GF, they are delicious. They are great for orders as well as drop ins.

...so says my daughter. We ordered a monster sized gluten free chocolate fudge cake for my daughter's birthday. Absolutely delicious, even for us non GF folks. Friendly and thankful staff greeted us. We've been back several times to try all GF and regular items. Always busy, so that says it's good!

The WPA Bakery is a small neighborhood bakery in the Church Hill area of Richmond. We were there recently to pick up a few items for a "picnic" breakfast. There was a varied assortment of pastries to choose from. We chose a couple of mixed berry muffins, which were large and very good. In addition, we boughy some caneles. Not... More

This was our last stop on a bike ride/foodie tour of Church Hill. No, we were not hungry at all by the time we arrived here, our last stop. Yes, we ate the beautiful caneles placed before us. We are now obsessed!

So, I have a confession... I visited this bakery on three separate occasions over two weeks. Y'all, I just couldn't help it. They are constantly bringing out new selections all day. For those of us that are gluten free, this is a dream... I had coffee cake, butter milk pie and canales. They also brew a great cup of coffee....... More

Recommended as a great option for gluten-free, it was disappointing—except that I was able to get a HUGE egg and cheese sandwich on a GF english muffin. Besides the GF limitation, the biscuit was delectable and also enormous. The muffins were gorgeous, and the atmosphere was cozy. A nice hang.

Great place to stop by and grab a coffee and muffin. Always have a lovely selection of gluten free cakes which are delicious. Regular visits needed whenever I'm in Richmond
