A little noisy, yet food was well served, unlike most Mexican restaurants that put it all in a mush plate. Manager checked in and talked to us. Service not rushed, like most every other Mexican restaurants! When Anthony stated that the hot sauce was not, believe him..... my 11 year old grandson found out the hard way -- so much... More

I live nearby and am a frequent happy hour patron. Definitely the best margarita in Richmond- I'm determined to try every flavor they have! The prickly pear is my favorite. The service is slow and generally inattentive if you are sitting anywhere other than the bar, but I would still recommend going for the drinks and food.
Make sure to get the queso, mushroom empanadas, fish tacos, and try the pickled cactus! This restaurant is great, with excellent service and a really novel chips and salsa serving style.

Was there with a group of 12. Expected slow serves due to the number of people, but it took way too long. Everyone switched, I mean everyone, due to the high cost of mixed drinks and there was not much alcohol in the drinks. Food was nothing special and expensive
Fun place and great location...nice that they take reservations...menu is not very large however the taco's are great and the fresh guacamole with large fresh chips were awesome
We had a party of 8 tonight a Casa del Barco for a going away party. Our server Joe was really good and our food was great. We had an assortment of dishes, I had the chorizo tacos: best anywhere. The quality and taste of the chorizo was better than any of the Austin,Tx or Phoenix restaurants. Great job Chef!!!... More

Our waiter Joseph was very knowledgeable and courteous. Made great recommendations & explained the different salsas they served complimentary. Delicious! They had a weekend brunch special Bloody Maria for $3. Other drinks averaged $6. There were 4 of us and we each loved the food. Duck Tacos (Not something you"d expect to get in Mexico but evidently a house favorite),... More
If I could do negative stars, I would. This is the third and last time I eat here. The margaritas were average and cost $11 each. The chips with salsa were fried tortilla shells. The service was painfully slow. When the food finally came out, it was barely lukewarm and inedible. The manager did not charge us for our meals... More
We're so sorry that you had a disappointing experience at Casa del Barco, and that the manager was not able to turn the experience around for you. You are welcome to contact me directly at email@example.com if there are additional details you would be willing to share. We appreciate learning where we can improve. Sincerely, Anne Roy, Director of Sales More
My family and I had brunch on Saturday at this restaurant and it was good. Portions were big as we could not finish them. The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and efficient. We would eat there again.
