Since the lamentable closure of Evo a couple of years ago, Mandarin Palace is one of the few Chinese in the area now. Before it was sold in the recent past, it was old style American Chinese. The quality was uneven, but you often got to talk to Lucy, the opinionated proprietress and watch her mother snap beans for that... More

This place is wonderful! I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. The inside is decorated ornately just like the Chinese restaurant I went to when I was little. I think that cast a magic spell on my 4 and 5 year old, because they were well behaved for once. They have a super menu that has far more options... More

The owner, Christine is very nice. She'll welcome us by name and ask if we want our regular meals. I'm a fan of Orange Chicken. The egg rolls are excellent, freshly made, not frozen. My husband has a selection of gluten free meals. He opts for the Triple Delight Soup. The chef will alter ingredients to suit your taste.

They are so nice here! The curried chicken was spicy but superb. Great veggie apring rolls and egg drop soup. They are so nice and attentive here! Everyone's meals were so flavorful! My sister comes here a lot and wanted me to try and I'm glad we did!

Well if you are looking for spicy dumplings this is the place. Super hot.. The food was average as far as Chinese goes. The folks were very nice and were very accommodating. We just did appetizers for that small plate effect.

My wife and I made reservations to enjoy Mandarin Palace with friends to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The food was really good and really fresh but I doubt we will return. The owner came to the table with our receipts after we paid and explained that they were all leaving now to go home and have dinner with their... More

Mandarin Palace had me curious for a long time with its vintage neon sign above the door in an old shopping center. Frankly, I dismissed it, thinking the sign was probably the most interesting feature on a tired, old restaurant. It was recommended by a friend, however, and I've now enjoyed three superb meals there. Walking through the doorway took... More

I went because of other reviews. I was not as happy as other people. The Lo Mein was super salty. I also had what the call "sticky buns" well there not they have the same covering as a steam dumpling does. People were nice, I just would not go out of my way to go there again.

I have to admit, we were leary of trying something new. Chinese can be so iffy... However, we went here after river kayaking and the food was excellent! We had Kung Pao chix and Lo Mein noodles and Garlic chix and all three were excellent flavor. The lo mein was served in a brown, soy sauce, which was perfect. SOme... More
