Wow. How do they put so much awesome flavor in their dishes? Have been dinning here since 2008. It just keeps getting better. Quality and price are perfect.

While on the road towards finding the next best Chinese Restaurant in RVA, I stumbled across Yen Ching of Midlothian. I had already ordered food from the Yen Ching of Hull Street and had a mixed review from that experience. So how did this experience go? To find out, read below. The Good: Online Ordering- Unlike the Hull Street location,... More

While visiting friends in Glen Alen we went to Yen Ching for EXCELLENT Chinese food in a very nice looking restaurant. We are native New Yorkers (no booing please) and know Chinese food. This is the real thing. Ample portions served hot. Nice amount of fresh vegetables and ample shrimp and scallops. A congenial host/owner, and waiter made the evening... More

We've been here many times and never had a bad meal. On our last visit we tried the crispy honey shrimp, and it was delicious. We also had a shredded beef dish that was tasty as well. The food has always been piping hot and fixed to our specifications. The atmoshere is pleasant, and the service is quite good. We... More

Rice was not really good but for once my request for extra spicy for the Kung Pao Chicken was *actually* moderately spicy. My wife was looking for wide noodles e.g. Chow Fun (not many carry it and instead usually just recommend Rice Noodle which is thin - not wide) and we know better. This isn't the only Chinese restaurant that... More

Second time eating here, both times the food was ok at best. Then today, they lied to me about my egg roll having tofu in it instead of meat. I'm not a moron, I know the difference between the two. Awful service for vegetarians.

We got takeout. A quart of wonton soup had a total of four wonton with almost no filling. The soup had flavor, but FOUR wontons...come on. The fried rice was just rice colored brown with nothing added. No veggies, egg, meat...nothing, not even any flavor. The main dishes were good. Honey, lightly coated chicken with walnuts was very good, as... More

I will never order from the Yen Ching Midlothian location ever again! Worse customer service I have ever seen. I ordered the Crispy Chicken last night and told them NOT spicy, however when I got home to eat it later it was EXTREMELY spicy so I ate the rest of my meal (chicken w. broccoli) and decided since it was... We have eaten at Yen Ching once. A 10 out of 10 for food, service and all around niceness. Ah, but the delivery service! Our food arrives hot, delicious and timely by the friendliest delivery folks in town. Kung Pao is my favorite. The wife loves the Chicken Chow Mein. Need to include the soups as well, all are simply... More
