Can there be a more authentic English pub in Richmond? Wonderful atmosphere and authentic Liverpool dishes. Fish-n-chips, Bangers and mash, Beckham and Owen, and a whole list of English beers on tap. Great place for pub food and watch some futball.

Two couples taking advantage of a Groupon. The girls ordered the Cottage Pie, and the guys got Fish ‘n’ Chips and Beckham & Owen. The Pork Sausage Roll & Beef Cornish Pastie (Beckham and Owen) were very tasty. The pastry was flaky goodness. I am not a huge fan of Shepard’s Pie, but the bites I had of my Spouse’s... More

Awesome place!!! I am not a pub-type person but I had a really wonderful time here. The place is amazing especially festive with Christmas decorations. The food is excellent, delicious, served nice and hot. The servers are nice and attentive (specially with refills!) I think the price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. We did... More

As long as Penny Lane Pub has been around and as long as we have lived in Richmond, it is amazing that this was our first visit. Our friends invited us to go, and I'm glad they did. We started with an appetizer of the Warm Brie topped with a Homemade Apricot-Cranberry Chutney. The flavor was wonderful, but it was... More

Back in Richmond for the holidays and Penny Lane came to mind as a spot to take the family for a casual dinner before a movie. The place was warm, casual and inviting. The food was good and comforting and the beer was plentiful and flowing. We sat by the fire and played trivial pursuit with the set on the... More

Very authentic pub in the middle of downtown Richmond with loads of Beatles pictures framed on the walls. Very small, quaint, and great atmosphere. Food was delicious. I had bangers and mash. Everyone in my group loved their meals. Servers were fantastic.

Had an early dinner here before seeing a concert at the Coliseum. Cool English pub atmosphere with several of the staff being from a England. Food was good.

I lived in England for a few years...unfortunately when a restaurant advertised as an English pub...not...you definitely leave disappointed!! I had a steak and Guinness pie not traditional of a steak and ale pie! If you are English don't have high expectations on the food!!! For someone who have never visited England before they will probably think this is a... More

In the late 70s and early 80s, I was a regular at Penny Lane. I had a girlfriend that played darts. I could always enjoy a draft of Bass. This is a truly British Pub. The location today is different but they still serve beer and food worthy of its predecessor.. I had the cottage pie which was delicious along... More

British themed pub, food was average, great music playing. A reasonable location for a drink but just average.
