A cold New England night is no match for The Prince and The Pauper. I had the loveliest meal here that I haven't experienced since living nearly a decade in New England. How can I forget the magret of duck I ordered, nestled in a spoonful of reduced black currant and cassis sauce, cradled in flaky golden crust, grilled pink,... More

I liked this place, there is a small menu and you can only select a few options I ordered the duck the think is that I feel that my plate was ready before my wife and was put under the lamp for a few minutes while her the lamb was finished, it was overall very good. They had a good... More

I enjoyed a lovely meal with friends. The staff was very helpful with some food restrictions my friend had and the meal was wonderful.

The Prince and Pauper came highly recommended and while the food was satisfactory the service behind the scenes was less then acceptable. We felt terrible for our waitress who had to keep apologizing to us that unbeknownst to her our order kept getting pushed so we were waiting over an hour for our main course. When finally served it must... More

Yes, it's a little pricey but I would come here every week if I lived in Woodstock. It's homely and super food. And my own personal bliss: non sweet country bread with bread knives. We had not booked and normally would have taken the spot at the bar which we were offered, but the bar stools looked less than ideal... More

After our fifth visit to Woodstock, we have rated this as our favorite. We like the food, and we always as ask for a booth where conversation can be enjoyed. Wait staff excellent. Dessert choices are shown on the tray.

4.5 stars for their prix fixe 3-course dinner menu. The service is top notch, very good creme brulee.

Incredibly quaint and extremely tasty! We sat at the bar because no tables. They get booked QUICK! We nested at the bar. I had the lavender infused Cosmo paired with pate to die for! I also had the butternut squash lasagna. Heaven!!!

We started with the house salad which was field greens with carrots and homemade dressing. It was very good except it had a little too much dressing. We both had the veal medallions which came with a wild rice medley and a vegetable. The veal was pounded thin and mostly tender. The sauce was flavorful and had a strong French... More
