"Hey, I got dinner tonight," my friend texted me. Great, I thought. She's got an invite to a vendor sponsored dinner at the conference. But no, This friend scored dinner at Trader Vic's in the basement of the Atlanta Hilton. Trader Vic's is a Polynesian style eatery complete with Hawaiian shirt clad servers. The quiet candlelight dining room features heavy... More

Trader Vic's was once something special, but now it seems to be just a chain. What can one say? Although it's not terrible, there isn't much left to make this place the really special experience that it once was. Won't be rushing back if there are other options.

We ate here while staying at the Hilton; the decor is pretty phenomenal and so different than the rest of the hotel. Very authentic "Polynesian Pop"; almost to the level of the Mai Kai in Fort Lauderdale. Our server was friendly (maybe a bit too talkative) and the drinks and food (we got a sampler appetizer and a seafood dish... More

We have been going to this restaurant for over 35 years while we lived in Atlanta. We moved to HHI about 8 months ago and had to evacuate so we went to Atlanta and visited all our favorite restaurants. Of course TVics was first on our list. Like the Paul Simon Says still crazy good Polynesian food after all these... More

Has a typical Trader Vic's menu with "Polynesian" flair. Very good service. Wasn't busy on a Wednesday evening.

Eat here and enjoy one of the last remaining classic tiki palces. Only two Trader Vic's are left in the US, The atmosphere, tiki drinks, food and service are outstanding. Home of the original Mai Tai. Fijian and Tongan tapa line the walls. Lots of puffer fish, fishing-float lamps and tikis to please. Live music and mai tai specials on... More

I loooooove this place! The tiki atmosphere takes you on a Journey to the Islands for sure. Try their Mai Tai cocktail, it is to die for! The peculiar wood oven where they prepare some specialty dishes are also a must. I really enjoy our dinner!

This is now the second day in a row coming for dinner here. I am sorry I did not find this little hidden gem earlier. I have honestly not had such good food in quite a while! Service is excellent and the staff are one of the most friendliest I have met in a while!

If you're old enough, you remember when Trader Vic's were scattered around the country. I think this one has been in Atlanta for maybe 30-35 years. I also think that the only people who know about Traders Vic are people who come to Atlanta to come to a convention and just happen to be staying at the hotel is it... More
