My BFF had never had a true cultural experience before and after doing a bit of research on the place, I knew it was something different to do in Atlanta that she should not miss. The outside can be a bit confusing because you can...More

Very disappointing visit. Multi course meal was offered. The appetizer platter was fortunately explained. No way could anything except the beets be determined by taste. A rather amusing sugared pastry was then served. The entree, lamb was fatty gristle, no spices. Desert was a delicious...More

At long last, I’ve fulfilled my wish to visit the Imperial Fez, and it fulfilled my hopes. We settled in around a low round table for our five-course feast on cushioned banquettes or fluffy chairs under a swagged ceiling with hanging stained glass lamps. After...More

So dark and dingy you need a flashlight to read the menu and to determine what is on your plate. I literally paid $50 for a plate of bread which I ate to get the horrid, greasy taste of the appetizer and entree from my...More

An interesting place to try. It's very long time in between each course. Everything tasted good up until the main meal. I had the lemon olive chicken, didn't care for it at all. The lentil soup, most of the salad was good. The meat pie...More

This is a wonderful gem of a restaurant in the Buckhead area. It is about a 2-1/2 hour experience sitting on low comfortable sofas in a fabric draped room with Moroccan music, eating a 5 course meal (with your hands Moroccan style you'd like) after...More

I've heard so much about this place and driven past it thousands of times and wanted to check it out. So I made plans with a friend to go. Often times I will make reservations using Open Table. However, Imperial Fez is not a participating...More

My husband and I accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant back in November of 2016. We had just finished eating at Holman and Finch down the street. Since we'd already eaten we didn't stay for very long. Even though we live in NC, we finally made...More

You can be comfortable enough at the Imperial Fez. While the tables are low (about knee height), the seating is not. The chairs might be slightly lower than average, but the bench seating is easy to sit on and easy to rise... More

First things first, ask your hostess you want to remove your shoes, and get ready to relax and eat with your fingers (Silverware available at your table) this traditional Moroccan restaurant encourages you to do as the Moroccans do. As you settle into the benches and soft pillows, your server will explain the customs and traditions that they observe at this unique restaurant. To begin, your server will bring a Tass (a silver hand-washing kit) and gently pour warm water scented with lemon to allow you to wash your hands at the table, and will give you a clean towel to keep on your left shoulder. Your server will explained the menu and the order of the meal, take your order and your journey will truly began as Chef Rafih Benjelloun and his wife Chef Rita Benjelloun work on their culinary magic. At Imperial Fez, the "happy drink" is called The Marrakech. It's a fruity beverage of multiple spirits and juices that will undoubtedly leave you feeling just that - happy. Nightly entertainment starts around 7:30pm. The belly dancers bring energy and life to the quiet restaurant and complete your Moroccan experience! For anyone willing to go beyond the norm, an evening at Imperial Fez can be a full night of pleasure for the mind, the body, and the spirit.
