Visited Bar Manolo on Salobrena beach specially at 5.30 on a Thursday afternoon in May and found it closed and sealed up. We waited around until 6 o'clock in case it was going to open but still no signs of life. I don't know if this place is seasonal as it is right on the beach or whether it just... More

We've eaten here a few times - twice just for a few tubos and accompanying tapas, and twice for a full meal. One thing you're guaranteed here is very fresh fish, and this is pretty much the place which taught me to get over my ichthyophobia and embrace how good fish can be. The batter used for their fried seafood... More

We had dinner there- food was terrible We had Calderon de bogabante for two persons the sauce was bitter and a tiny bit of lobster meat- told the waiter he was rude and said other people like it and disregarded our views. My partner had Rabo de toro - oxtail - this was all bone no meat - we didn't... More

Modest but good local food, in a place mostly frequented by locals. Reasonable prices, in a no frills type of building, but just a few metres from the seaside. Great to go with kids, for you can have a meal, or some tapas and a few drinks while you watch over them as they play by the seaside.

Nice lunch and nice service but small lenguado for the price. Main bonus is the car park. Very close to the sea front.

Having noticed a sign to La Caleta we decided to seek out some local cuisine. This bar is right on the beach. Our first visit was just for a beer and some tapas. Impressed by what we saw we decided to visit again and try the lunchtime menu. We enjoyed the house salad, and paella. Cannot fault this establishment if... More

Others have described the fantastic location, right at the beach with beautiful sea views. Don't go here if you expect an upmarket seafood restaurant, but if you are looking for an authentic non-tourist chiringuito with fresh seafood prepared simply and well at reasonable prices, this is probably one of the very best in this part of Costa Tropical. We usually... More

Have eaten here several times with friends. Great seafood, big portions and low prices. Especially locals frequent this place; the proof of a good meal.

This is a small “chiringuito” situated right on the La Guardia beach at La Caleta. It’s simple, as a beach bar should be, but the food was tasty and the waiters were friendly and attentive within an informal atmosphere. The “raciones” are very generous and can easily feed 3 people, so if you’re only two, try to go for the... More

Fantastic position, right on the beach. This is my favourite place to come for lunch when I visit Salobrena. I love the vino de la Tierra they have there and today when we asked for it we were told it was not the same as usual and was quite sweet. We were offered a try, and although I prefer the... More
