We had the Friday night special. King crab and filet. Two tiny little crab legs which half was still cold from being in freezer. I had a horrible time separating the meat from the shell They finally offered me shell cracker but I had to use the claw tip to dig the meat out. Now on to the filet. For... More

We came here with our daughter who is just a year old. They were so willing to accommodate us, they brought us an order of French fries. And even thought we didn't order steaks, we ordered their AMAZING burgers, they brought us dinner rolls. We will definitely eat here again.

This restaurant has a unique atmosphere. It is like being in a cliff dwelling. However, the food was very disappointing. They entrees are expensive. We would not return if they gave us a free meal. The service was also very slow. Don't know what the problem was but we will not return.

We went to Storytellers to celebrate our Anniversary and were not disappointed. Rarely do you need to make a reservation, but it never hurts. We were seated promptly and courteously when we arrived. The restaurant itself is like a cave - quite dark, but generally very quiet. Our server was prompt, funny, courteous and took our drink order quickly. The... More

We go to the Storytellers Steakhouse when ever we can. It is a great place to take friends and family. The food is fantastic and the ambiance is spectacular. From the hostess to the waitstaff you can't go wrong if you eat here.

Staying at a hotel in Camp Verde, we arrived late (around 8pm) on a Sunday night to find the town essentially closed for the evening and no open restaurants other than fast-food. Went to the nearby Cliff Castle Casino and found Storytellers which appeared to be the only smoke-free place to eat. Not inexpensive but the food and service were... More

This visit was not as expected. We had our usual steak orders, but both were so tough and unappetizing that we took a "doggy" bag and left. The tenderloin was not tender and the NY strip had a big cord running through the whole loin. They were very under staffed!

Description
With its rock walls and gentle waterfall, Storytellers captures the spirit of ancient Indian dwellings. The name comes from a Native American tradition of passing on history through storytelling. Here, our guests share the stories of the day, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or any occasion, in an upscale yet casual setting. It is the perfect setting for an intimate dinner or small group celebration. The three to five-course menu features inventive twists to traditional steakhouse fare. Our signature dish is an applewood-bacon wrapped beef filet, but there are many other pleasant surprises to be found in this gem of a restaurant. The fresh fish we serve comes by way of the world-famous Honolulu Fish Company. It is never frozen and arrives to us as though directly from the dock. Choose a fine vintage from the extensive wine list, which includes the local varietals of the Verde Valley wineries. And there is no better way to finish such a fabulous meal than with one of Storytellers' divine desserts.
