Lived in Camp Verde for years and akways enjoyed this place. However, just returned to visit and it gone downhill. Nowhere have I ever been charged for salsa, chips, and hot sauce when having a meal. I guess hete though they have decided to dime and nickle you to death. Two adult meals and one order of beans gor a... More

I've been going to La Fonda since I was a kid living in Camp Verde. I'm now 40 & living in NJ but go back to visit every few years and every time I just have to go back to La Fonda! It really is one of the few places that's still the same every time I return. Much of... More

We found La Fonda while we were staying in an RV Park nearby. It was busy every day as we passed by, so we decided to try it. We had several types of combination plates(with rice & beans). The ground beef tacos were especially good - some of the best I've had around the country! The refried beans were also... More

We visited La Fonda for a lunch break while visiting the Out of Africa park in Camp Verde. The salsa was strange, not in a bowl like at a typical Mexican restaurant but rather left in a bottle that looked like ketchup. It was decent, but a little spicy for our tastes. Our meals were pretty good, but what stands... More

Green chili enchiladas are excellent. Tacos use shredded beef but quite tender. A little tomato would make it even better. Beans and rice quite average. Nice sopapilla treat at the end. Attentive service. Fairly inexpensive.

Very expensive for what is offered with regard to size and quality. First order of salsa and chips is not complimentary. Large guacamole is delicious, but very small in size and large in price. Pico de gallo tasteless.. they say they NEVER use cilantro?? and no lime or lemon.. just chopped onion, tomato and jalapeño, dry. Ordered a bean burrito... More

Had dinner and food was about same as always. Service still poor to worse. Had a large increase in pricing (15 to 20 percent). Now you have to pay for salsa. This seems very out of place for a Mexican restaurant. We will be eating elsewhere from now on.

I love going to La Fonda's for their lunch specials and regardless of whether want Taco's, Burrito's Enchilada's or a tasty Tosdada, every lunch special comes with a Sopapilla, with Honey if you want - Great finish to a great luch. The portions are great too.

Arrived one evening and was asked if we had a reservation. We did not. The gentleman seemed put off by this and acted like we were an inconvenience. Never felt welcomed by any of the staff and the food was ok to mediocre. I would eat somewhere else next time.

First time here with our neighbors and the food was good, service was fast and we'll probably come back again. Only thing I noticed was they only brought one small basket of chips and didn't ask us if we wanted a refill. Sopapillas were great!!
