Very scruffy and very basic but does look like it's undergoing some renovation. A beautiful spot overlooking the sea and if you make allowances for the condition of the place it's probably worth a visit. We went for a lunchtime snack of mussels and fries. The mussels were ok and the fries were more like potato skins but both were... More

Worst and most dirty restaurant in Jávea. DO NOT GO. It used to be better but now is disgusting. I was in Portitxol beach and we had the awful idea to go into the restaurant as the day was so beautiful and it's the only bar in the area. Bathrooms are terrible, the bottle of water was dirty, I had... More

We have visited La Barraca on many occasions over the years. We have just returned from having lunch. The food was not up to standard, and overall very disappointing. We ordered Tapas, but hey served far too much food and charged extra for it. For example, we ordered a salad to share, and they gave us two on one plate,... More

Signposted off the 'Carretera del Portixol', just keep heading downhill to the good parking before the stoney beach - it's more of a maze getting back uphill to the main road ! The 'Barraca' is just round the cliff to the right and up a slope. Fabulous view over the bay and island of Portixol with most tables on the... More

Rough and ready, popular with locals, excellent tapas food. Definitely recommend for lunch or early dinner as closes by 8pm.

Amazing location right on the sea practically, the food was excellent and the wine flowed! I have eaten here before many times but on this occasion everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and the service was brilliant.....no complaints at all. Will definitely be back for more la barrack experience.

Go for the lovely views from the terrace, not for the food, rosado was young but okay, have a swim afterwards, or spend some time at the beach,

Amazing place! Great service, fantastic views, the Tapas were very good and we really enjoyed our stay there. Today we went there just to take a look but tomorrow we will go back and take our swimming clothes with us and also eat at the restaurant again!

We popped down to this beach on a whim, and were so glad we did! Went into the bar for a quick cuppa, but were tempted to try lunch, so we stayed. So glad we did. ordered 4 plates of tapas for 3 of us, and it was more than enough, costing 35 euros... ordered ham and cheese, calamares (which were... More

We hadn't been to La Baracca for a couple of years - we used to love the beautiful views and traditional food. Today we visited the restaurant for lunch and were served sloppy octopus, which smelt really bad and chicken so raw that it still had the texture of totally uncooked chicken! The staff still gave us a bill for... More
