My wife and have been to this restaurant 3 or 4 times already and we have never been disappointed. The presentation, taste, aromas and textures blend so well together that it makes the dining experience something to savour, enjoy and remember for the next visit. We will definitely be back and with a taxi the next time so that we... More

We stayed at nearby highland heather lodges in august. Called here for a meal and it was superb. A high standard of food at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend

In the window it advertised that the restaurant was open 6.30pm to 8.30 pm but we turned up today at 6.45pm and the door was locked. Seeing a member of staff inside we knocked but the member of staff just walked away and moved out of sight of the door. We stayed for a few minutes but it was clear... More

Had a wonderful meal here in late August 2016 - the food was fantastic, the setting is relaxed yet charming and the service is personal and couldn't be faulted. The only lady serving seemed to have to be turning away diners as she was understaffed and could only open half of the restaurant which seemed a shame, but lucky for... More

Happened on this delightful establishment on a typically "soft rain" day in September. Tucked away off the main street in Comrie this welcoming establishment treated us to a wonderful meal and eating experience in charming surroundings; the beef bourginon was superb, the duck confit was to die for and the lasagne had a nice "devilish" kick. From what we could... More

Don't let the name fool you into thinking this isn't a place for creative food, served beautifully. We began with a Dark Scottish beer. Our starters, summer vegetable risotto and leek & saffron soup, were elegantly tasty. Mains were roasted rump of Scottish lamb and leek, mushroom and goat cheese pie, both excellent. We enjoyed a glass of wine; many... More

Doesn't look as if this place needs more good reviews, but I'll just say: exploring Comrie and happened here for a light lunch. Being a pleb, I had potato wedges to go with my scallops. Well, the scallops were perfect: just slightly grill-browned on the edges, and only just white inside, i.e. neither over- nor undercoooked, with a lovely tangy... More

Can't fault dinner here. Fantastic friendly service with delicious home grown produce. Worth a visit for lunch or dinner but book in advance... They are always busy. Best in the area by a long way!

We had always had thoughts of going to the Deil's Cauldron based on others feedback and this was our first visit. The inside is larger than you would think and also has a large beer garden to the rear. The decoration is very suited to the age of the building and the toilets are very well equipped with extra touches... More
