Yes I am an old timer and I remember the great French cuisine that was El Paseo for so many years. That was followed by an interesting small plate what I call fancy food place run by a top chef- it was good and the dining experience still relaxed and romantic. After being closed for at least two year it... More

Although this is a fantastic space with great ambiance and I've been come here for 30 years as a local, my last experience will be my last in a long time. The waitress had ATTITUDE, the service was terrible and there are lots of places in eat in Mill Valley that offer great service, consistent food and better value.

Went for our anniversary dinner. Service and food both great. I would definitely return again and again. Atmosphere is also memorable.

A repeat visit to the latest iteration of this unusual downtown restaurant. The Spanish-American theme didn't quite work for us. Nice setting as always, with attentive and professional service. Good wine list. Food fussy, expensive and not consistent with the menu descriptions. With many alternatives nearby, it is hard to recommend.

This is supposed to be a quality restaurant after being the venue of a pleasant cosmopolitan restaurant with a committed following. we decided to celebrate my birthday for a special night out and were totally disappointed: service is curt and slow, and the food was ordinary, especially my steak which was not cooked properly to the doneness that I requested.,... Our family celebrated my sons 35th birthday at El Paseo today. The food and service were exceptional! Whilst the menu was not extensive, the food and wine list were of the highest order. The place has a welcoming feel about it and we certainly be back again in the future! Highly recommended!

Sat out on the romantic patio, wonderful place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our waitress was so pleasant, down to earth! Food was superb - heirloom tomato salad, Akaushi Steak. Great experience!! Best restaurant for a special celebration

El Paseo has hosted wine dinners for some time now - a couple years? The dinner is limited to 45 people, who each bring a bottle of something specific from their cellar, and it is opened and shared among all. Recently, I attended the "Napa Cabernet Sauvignons before 1990" dinner, and it did not disappoint. It's a four course meal,... More

El Paseo is an institution, and located in the heart of Mill Valley. It is quaint and cute in an alley. The food is outstanding, tasty and well portioned. We celebrated my birthday tonight with champagne and a bottle of Pinot Noir. We ordered Boquerones, olives and almonds followed by charred tomatoes gazpacho appetizer with Sakura pork loin and Akuashi... More
