Great food, good service...make a reservation though as others have noted it's always crowded. Any place that serves polenta is bound to draw me in but the brisket was also very good.

Access is quirky for a first-timer, with the small parking area essentially right off the on-ramp to Highway 101. Consider parking in the Manzanita Park-n-Ride. Moderately priced happy hour drinks kick off what is a busy spot night after night. Make reservations if you want to dine, and expect a noisy environment. Great for dinner with friends, rather than for... More

Great service, great food and great atmosphere. You can't beat it being so close to the city. They are very accommodating and educated about those of us who need to be gluten free...highly recommend

Food is reasonably priced considering the area and the setting is absolutely great. My friend had the ribeye and I had the pork ribs and they were both extremely good. Highly recommend this place it is hard to park

This is one of the best (and most crowded) restaurants in Marin County. Easy to jump over the bridge from San Francisco or a short drive down the street from anywhere in Marin. Make sure to make reservations or you will have no chance of getting a table. The food options and desserts are world famous and the bar serves... More

We live only 5 minutes away, so it's an easy get-to. The Buckeye has this great reputation in our area. I'm not sure why. I do like the vibe..casual yet country elegant, if that makes any sense. Servers are very good. But the food - I took my GF to lunch a few weeks ago and the bill was $120,... More

Definitely a great local restaurant and excellent food! We went at lunch and the places filled up very quickly! You may need to make a reservation. It has both an upstairs and downstairs dining areas. It's a wonderful old world feeling wood paneled rooms. I would think it would make a great romantic dinner location at night. We started off... Buckeye Roadhouse is one of my new favourites. Your dining experience starts with the complimentary valet parking. The parking attendant, on realising it was our first visit, happily gave us a rundown of this historic establishment (opened in 1937 as a hunting lodge), followed by recommendations on the wonderful menu. Highlights being the speciality woodsmoked items, smoked in the huge... More

You've passed it by, as you zoom along US 101 at 75 mph, and why is that it always seems to be packed with cars, you make a mental note? Well, here's why: it's marvelous! I'm a foodie first this place does it right. The sticker shock FOR LUNCH was $165, for two. With a total of three glasses of... More
