My family, friends and I walked in and were completely ignored for the first 10 minutes (on a Friday night at approximately 10pm). Once the bartender finally noticed us, we didn't even have a chance to ask for a menu, she didn't even look at...More

We finished work early and stopped in for a pint and snacks. There are local craft beers on tap as well as Guinness. The spring rolls were very good and the wings too, although a bit pricey. Thursdays are half price wings.

Came in Friday(tonite) for a drink during a walk downtown to check out the lights after wonderful service at the Water Front. Sat down at 9pm watched the server count her tips behind the bar three times, after 25 minutes of no service from two...More

I found The Loaf and Ale to have a quaint and cozy pub-like atmosphere, their menu selections were good and every meal we chose was delicious and well prepared. The young wait staff worked very hard and as more arrived they worked even harder and...More

We chose the all you can eat roast beef buffet, which was reasonably priced with delicious food that was served hot. The staff were prompt in seating us, attentive and explained our options, enjoyed our time in this pub.

Half price wings on Thursdays. Varies depending on staffing. Often dry but flavourful. Decent soups and salads but mostly a beer bar!

We chose the Loaf N' Ale because of a good rating on Trip Advisor to grab a sandwich. The Rueben Sandwich was sooooo good, we had to stop again three days later for another one. Even met the chef/cook, Chris Gillespie, to thank him.

This is a quaint restaurant on the main street in downtown Napanee, that is properly laid out as a Brit pub. With lots of seating and great food and drink. It was Thursday wing day ($7 per pound) when we arrived so I had to...More

Why would you take a 12 year old girl to a PUB? The fact remains that their profit margin likely comes from the sale of booze. You only need to enter the place to realize it is no place for a child. That is on you! Any foul language she heard was as a result of your parenting choice to have her in an adult setting. I would bet money that she was likely the ONLY child in there. That does not however excuse poor service & under cooked food & hygiene practice's you speak of. If you are that sensitive about the location of the bathroom facilities, I suggest you scope out a place before you get a table. Save yourself the grief. There are doors on those bathrooms!I have been in the ladies a couple of times & I am extremely picky. It was very clean. You only mentioned bad things though. Are you sure you were not having an off day? I would no sooner spend over 20 minutes waiting for a server(s) that are spitting distance away. The place is not that big. Your child had to be starving at this point & definitely getting a sour stomach soaking up your increasing tensions. Your table must have been a joy. I hope you learned things from your experience so you can avoid such an unpleasant one in the future.
