This is a great restaurant. The Ropa Vieja is terrific. The service is strong, and the food amazingly priced. Go more than once

I like this restaurant so well I went back several times. I first had the Ropa Vieja, a traditional cuban dish, with traditional black beans and rice "Moros y Cristianos." It was excellent. Also tried the paella, probably the best I had in Cuba. And one night, not very hungry, I had a modest bowl of spaghetti, which was very... More

This is a busy place because it's great value, the food is good and the service is great, so expect to queue (I don't know if you can book). Not much else to say, really, we had a really good, inexpensive meal, enjoyed the atmosphere and service and had a great time. Check it out if you're in Cienfuegos!

My family with my one adult and one teen child went to Cienfuegos from Rancho Luna and happened upon the Las Mamparas restaurant while walking to the malecon. I had a wonderful lunch and the paella served hot in a pan was so delicious and flavorful. We ordered Sangria for my wife and I just couldn't get enough!! It was... More

We enjoyed this place so much we returned several nights to the rooftop to have some delicious cocktails, listen to music and enjoy the entertainment from the waiters there. One particular waiter of note was Abraham, very professional but the man could sing & dance with the band which was quite entertaining. Cook place to have a drink and listen... More

The menu is varied and astonishingly inexpensive. The staff are friendly and efficient. The boss looks like a younger Annie Lennox. It is well worth a visit.

Tried a few restaurants in Cienfuegos city but by far Las Mamparas is the best. Good food, good service and price very reasonable. I had to wait about 20 mins for a table. Place was packed. I ordered chicken noodle soup, pork & chicken brochette and fried rice. Plus couple of drinks. I believe, I paid under 15 CUC tips... More

This an old house converted to restaurant , big bar and small dining area , Same poor mentality in cuba also in this restaurant. Cramped with chairs and tables , poor food quality , slow service . High prices . Not again.

I met a local guy while walking along the Prado, who claimed to be Julio Cesar la Cruz - the captain of the Cuban boxing team at the London 2012 olympics - we had a brief and rather odd conversation, at the end of which he pointed us in the direction of Las Mamparas for dinner. Typically Cuban, they had... More

We came as a fairly large group (19) which may likely have thrown off a few other guests. But, the food was fantastic -- roasted lamb, vegetables and rice, gazpacho (fantastic) and great drinks (highly recommend the pina coladas). The atmosphere is fun and artistic, and the staff was great - anticipating our every need. Definitely go and enjoy local... More
