We're in Maui on our annual reward trip and a group of 10 of us chose this place the other night. Can't speak highly enough of our experience; our table outside at 7 PM was the perfect atmosphere along with great weather to go with the magnificent food. I had the lobster, which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrées and... More

We celebrated our 25th anniversary at this beautiful restaurant. They welcomed us with a glass of champagne. If you want THE BEST VIEW of the island that will take your breath away, then do not leave this restaurant off your list. 6:30 as the sun was setting we took the most beautiful pics. Service impeccable, seating likewise. The food is... More

My husband and I ate here on our last night and it definitely lived up to the hype. You absolutely MUST come during sunset. I had several appetizers, including the famous risotto which was delicious and rich. The tomato and buratta salad was excellent and so were the fish bite appetizers. My husband had the steamed catch of the day... More

Simply put, the food here is delicious. If we were to come back here a 3rd time, we'd make sure to come before sunset because the views from the restaurant are up on a hill and would be stunning while the sun sets. Parking here is easy and free if you drive yourself. We actually ordered the same thing both... More

One of the best meals I had during my stay in Maui was in this restaurant. You have to try the lobster with Dungeness crab and some Sauvignon Blanc with it.....

We go to Maui every year for our anniversary. This restaurant (used to be called Capische) is always on our must list. This year the view stayed just as wonderful but the new chef doesn't have the same fine palate as the last one. The food is good, just not as flavorful. Sad.

We didn't know what to expect since the restautant has changed it's name. We were very pleased to see that although a "new" restaurant the food, service and ambiance remain the same. We look forward to returning again.

The food and service were off the charts good, but when you throw in the view, it cannot be topped. You're sitting on a balcony above the tree tops with a great view of the ocean. Get there 1/2 hour before sunset, and enjoy your favorite beverage as the sun disappears on the horizon. The wait staff will not bother... More

We had a delicious meal in what seemed like a tree house. The service was terrific and the food fabulous. We ate at many Wailea restaurants and this was my favorite. Try to go at sunset for a spectacular view.

This restaurant is truly the best restaurant--hands down--in Wailea. We ate here on our last night in Maui. It wasn't our intention to save the best for last--it was a lucky coincidence. I'd read reviews but hesitated to try it because it wasn't near the beach and I thought it might be buggy. The restaurant is just beautiful--small, intimate and... More

Description
Hawaii's first and only Relais & Chateaux restaurant, The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea (formerly known as Capische?) offers a European-inspired elegance infused with creative island-to-table cuisine. Menus are created around what is readily available from Maui’s own farms and fisherman ensuring that each dish is prepared using only the finest local, seasonal and artisanal products; including those grown in the restaurant’s own garden and farming operation.

From its perch on the hillside above South Maui's Wailea resort area, the restaurant offers sweeping panoramic ocean views from the upper lanai and intimate dining under the stars in the garden.
