We found that nice Cafe incidentally and had a good coffee in the shade of the garden trees. We highly recommend stopping there!

Pleasant stop. Food was fine. Frappe was fantastic. Service a bit slow when busy. Nice gardens to wander around.

A group of us have been coming to this cafe for years around the summer holidays and we were looking forward to introducing some other friends to it. However it was very disappointing; poor service and the food mediocre, and with very limited gluten free options. They were also charging $3 for an avocado side when you can buy thema... More

Love Colenso, great location, food, coffee ☕️ and staff. Salmon salad is yum 😊 Great quick service too even though it was busy.

If you are visiting or even passing through the Coromandel Peninsula a pit stop at Colenso should be mandatory. Be careful you don't drive right by though, it's set off the road in lovely, lush green grounds. With fruit trees, herbs and lovely flower gardens. You can easily get distracted in the fabulous gift shop on your way to order your... More

I cannot fault the food, location, setting, staff .... the perfect place to relax under a tree in a beautiful garden. Vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan all catered for - if not directly on the menu they adapted dishes to suit us all. We could have happily sat there all day.

You really have to know about this cafe if you are driving south as you can easily speed past it. We had researched food outlets for our driving trip through this area, so were looking out for the sign, as the cafe itself is well hidden behind a big bank of trees. After parking, you walk through an orchard and... More

The food was lovely; wide choice for a small place. All home made & it showed. We had pepper and ricotta tart + fish pie + side salad; reasonably priced. Location was lovely & we were lucky to be able to sit comfortably outside in the sunshine. Beautiful gardens and an added bonus of a gift shop :) Would recommend... More

Good service, yummy food and lovely place. Too close to the road, but the back garden is nice if you go with children. Highly recommended!
