Whilst a little distance out of town this restaurant offered a good range of meals, great wine list and good deserts. The special board was also good and relevant. The food was well cooked and tasted amazing, and whilst the meals were expensive they were well worth it.

Poor school dinner standard food at cordon blue price. The food was not fresh... corn cob looked grey and was inedible, soggy broccoli, lumpy mash, mushy carrots and over cooked steak. Four of us ordered different dishes none of which were good or worth the price being charged.

The food is well worth a visit. The chef is working hard to build this place up but as it is 1.5k out of town it is often quiet. If you are coming back from Matheson Lake or Gillespie Beach pop in for dinner. It is a little expensive but good value.

The restaurant is just a little out of the village but is very well priced when you look at what the cafe's in town are charging. The meals where excellent and quiet large. Make sure you leave room for desert. Chef is very hands on and came and talked to every guest during the evening. Not a huge menu but... More

For starters the place is as advertised, in a beautiful spot, and clearly they have spent money to give it a makeover. The service was excellent (we had the place to ourself). The menu seemed to be a normal size or even a little small compared to some places in town and all mains were over $30NZD. I live locally... More

Having dinner with straight views of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman would be nice enough but having it with heartwarming meat dishes, tasty salmon or light pasta, followed by the most delicious chocolate pudding is a real great dinner. We can strongly recommend the restaurant. We stayed for a few nights in the lovely hotel as well and ate there... More
