Went for a drink with friends and ended staying for dinner The location is lovely with a view of the glacier and the restaurant tended to be a bit quieter than the Main Street which was nice. We sat outside and the drinks and food...More

Good food at, given where it is in a huge tourist spot, very good value. Had a discount voucher from our motel which made a difference as well. Calamari, Linguine and Venison Burger all very good, Whitebait starter OK but no more. Friendly service.

20% surcharge for New Year. But it wasn’t New Years Eve it was several days later. Service dreadful. Starters arrived 10 minutes apart. Food lack lustre. Lets hope this was just a seasonal glitch. Worst meal of the month by some way.More

Quaint restaurant with a bit of history attached to it. Service was prompt and attentive. Food is good but not exceptional...the menu looks similar to all other restaurants but I suppose that due to Franz Josef's locality, it is too be expected. A pleasant visit...More

This is a famous restaurant in that popular area and supposed to be very expensive at night. We went there for lunch at a very value for money price for lunch. Food quality was high and we enjoyed a lot.

Loved this restaurant. It has a really interesting history which the staff are only to happy to share. The story is printed on the menus, and provides a great topic for conversation. Real honest, pub food and plenty of it. The menu has something for...More

Hi - yes we are open New Year's Eve and we take bookings for 6 or more people. If less than that just wander in - no need to book. Cheers Jennie

Description
As warm and welcoming, as a traditional English Carriage House. The white walls and exposed rafters are adorned with riding tack, farm tools and other historic artifacts. While the wooden floors, wagon wheel bar stools and open fireplace add to the warmth.
