We were told about this place while traveling through Macon, GA. It took a little to find it but it was well worth the effort. It was very busy for a Monday night (so that should tell you something). I enjoy craft beers and they had a nice selection as well as the big name brews (for my wife). The... More

Outstanding lunch at The Rookery! My wife and I had the Turkey Reuben and it was delicious. Finished the meal off with the Jimmy Carter Milkshake! Peanut Butter with Banana Ice Cream and topped off with a slice of bacon! It was the bomb!

Note to management, Kyle D is one of the best waiters I have ever had. We were there St. Patrick's Day and he was cool, calm, in a great mood and was on top of service! Our table had and I can recommend the Grilled Pimento Cheese, Fries, Onion Rings, Chicken Fingers and without a doubt the Double Chocolate Shake.

My husband and I eat here quite often. The food is always wonderful and we always enjoy ourselves. Only downside is being downtown ,parking can be hard to find

Macon is a very different place. A mixture of old and new produce a unique experience for those willing to explore a bit. Love Rookery's ambiance. The service was excellent and staff knows how to take care of their clients. Everyone was happy with their food and the bill for 5 plus beer was under $80. We'll definitely return.

if you want the best burgers in Macon Ga the Rookery is the place to go! They are usually busy, but seating happens fairly quickly. My favorite is the Allman Burger (bacon, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese). Their hand cut fries are the best, they taste like fries you cut and cook at home. Their fried mushrooms are the best I've... The Rookery is unique to Macon. I've been twice and enjoyed it both times. I've tried two of their specialty sandwiches---once the Fried Green Tomato BLT (need I say more?) and the "King Bee" which features chicken tenders, pimento cheese, and honey mustard wrapped in a flour tortilla (I opted to skip the hot sauce). The slaw is delicious as... More

Very busy. Waited 45 mins but worth the wait. Great service and amazing food! A/c was too high and cob webs on front chandelier are my only negatives.

Hands down the best burger I've ever had. Such a great variety. The specials are always top notch. The owner is dedicated to using fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the Walden Greenback, but really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
