I like many of the outdated classic touches that some have complained about. But as much as I enjoyed the vibe (minus the 70s 80s music), the food (I had the "famous" lamb shank) won't live long in the memory. Also, if it matters to you, they lost their liquor license as of this writing.

***UPDATE*** 10/23/16 Lambs has a new owner now and they have changed things up there. They lost their liquor license for the time being so no drinks can be served. New darker paint on the walls that make the place seem darker than before. George Washington was no longer on the wall either, but I was told George will be... More

Classy atmosphere and a decent one page menu with 4 star food. Waitress very kind and helpful. Wouldn't go back but glad to say I ate the lamb shank platter at Lamb's Grill, the oldest standing restaurant in Salt Lake. 3.0star experience 3.5 star food 5 star customer service I expected more overall for some reason. If it's your only... More

I was part of a large group that had a dinner reservation there. The restaurant, and especially the server, were not at all prepared. The service was absolutely terrible and ridiculously slow. A neighboring table of 14 high schoolers arrived after us and finished their meals, with dessert, before we even received our salads. When we finally did receive our... More

Light bulbs, please! Flashlights, something so you can see your food. Food was good, but the booths are really small and cramped

It has the old style counter and booth seats when walked it. I personality think it is very unique. We were there for dinner. The menu wasn't a big one but enough for us to take a while to decide because everything sounds delicious. My boyfriend picked the boar stew, old fashion style but super delicious. I debated a long... More

Was open but under renovation while we were there. Lamb’s Grille is the oldest, continually operating restaurant in the state of Utah. This iconic eatery from 1919 serves American classics and cocktails in old-school digs with wooden booths. We are pleased to find the kitchen is run by a terrific chef and justifies the great reviews. The wines by the... More

Variety of meals ordered in our party salmon salad, bratwurst, cheeseburger, lamb and each dish praised as to taste and helping size. Servers attentive and helpful. Wide variety menu. Would go definitely go back.

Prior to visiting Salt Lake City, I had read fantastic reviews about Lamb's restaurant. Indeed, the restaurant lived up to its reputation. The servers were extremely efficient and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. The menu was diverse and creative. However, I opted for the signature dish, Lamb shank with potatoes and carrots. Just as the server promised, the... More
