Now that I work downtown, I eat here at least once per week. I often struggle to make a choice between favorite meals. The specials for lunch are Southern German. I lived in both Hamburg (north) and Heidelberg (south), and I love the red cabbage...More

Having lived in Germany we"ve found Siegfried's provides a stroll down memory lane. The food is good, and the atmosphere is German.

Glad I found this gem of a restaurant right down the block from our hotel. If you are at the Salt Palace Convention Center and want authentic German food for a quick lunch, definitely go! The service is quick, the food is excellent and generous....More

Everything they offer is wonderful. We ate here twice and would have once more if it wasn't closed on Sunday. I ate the Borscht soup that was delicious and apple strudel that was wonderful. Others in our group ate the brats with potato salad. WE...More

I absolutely love this place! The bratwurst and wienerschnitzel are particularly good, and I generally get fried potatoes, spaetzle, or sauerkraut for the side. Try the hot mustard! There is also a large amount of German/European grocery and novelty items as well. Heads up! The...More

So I wanted a place that was close and needed no reservations. Googled and found this. Very good authentic food. Generous portions. Lovely people. Only complaint was that the air conditioning could have been turned on a bit more.

A friend with an SLC connection told me this is the place for lunch, and she was right. I had a great lunch for about 8 bucks. Backed chicken (huhn) with red cabbage and (dry) potato salad. Excellent. Will be back.

While the fresh deli foods are delicious, the imported goods are overpriced and many were beyond their expiration dates. Fun chocolates at the counter but brusque, impatient service makes it hard to take time needed for making selections.
