I have the seafood Caldo and it was fantastic! They only serve beer, no wine. Your in and out in 45 minutes, so it's great if your in a hurry.

Ordered the fish & shrimp soup. Adorned with sliced avocado. Most tasty with plenty of seafood, could have used more vegetables. They serve you salsa & chips. Salsa very tasty & spicy. I ordered a small side of guacamole, fresh, but lacked in taste. Plenty for 2. The homemade corn tortillas very tasty. I would return & recommend for sure.

Truly a hidden gem! The food is BEYOND amazing. Looks like a "rough" area. Suck it up, park the car, and order some of the best Mexican food in Texas. It's on a main drag near 181. Just. Do. It.

Local joint for sure. No waiting to be seated, just sit down and be waited on. There was no sections for the wait staff so whoever got to you first was your server. The atmosphere is old but clean. It was very noisy due to two musician playing and singing. The dining area isn't that big either. The shrimp and oyster... More

This little place is a hidden gem in Corpus Christi. Don't let the outside fool you. They are doing construction outside, but the inside is bright, open, and welcoming. We had the Diablo Shrimp (#51) and the chicken/shrimp fajitas(#50). Both were well prepared with generous portions. The prices are cheap compared to other places.

My wife and I were in a little park on the Packery Channel on Padre Island. We stopped to visit with a local fisherman named Norbert. Great guy. We asked him about some local seafood restaurants. He told us about the Morgan street fish market and its sister restaurant La Ribera #2. We'd like to find # 1 now. Great... More

I've eaten breakfast here many times, and have never been disappointed. The potato, egg and crispy bacon tacos remind me of the ones we used to eat back in the early '70s, down in Harlingen. The guys I worked with would bring tacos from home and share them, and they were heavenly. The tortillas here are great, and the green... More

There is a fishmonger's shop in the back so that should indicate just how fresh the seafood is at this local eatery. If you are looking for ambiance stay away! This is where the locals go for good Mexican and great seafood at very affordable prices. Don't let the outside appearance or very unpretentious interior steer you away. The shrimp,... More
