So. We went there on a recommendation. We were seated immediately, which, being from Austin, is pretty awesome. And we sat. And we sat. As we sat waiting for someone to come along and at least bring us some water I perused the restaurant. As I perused I saw one of the cooks gnawing on some kind of something up... More

Went with my wife. Ordered Tuna Tartar and quality was extremely poor. Tuna color was wrong, long time refrigerated taste. Ordered a 4 cheese pizza and received an artichoke prosciutto pizza instead. Waiter said it will take long to cook another one and that I should better keep this one. Pizza bread was burnt and flavor way below average. Now... More

I am not sure the exact names of their food but the shrimp pizza and their tuna with serrano peppers appetizer is to die for!!! Strongly recommend these choices.

Conveniently located within walking distance from my hotel I often eat at Toscafino when in Brownsville. Service is good, the atmosphere is pleasant- slightly upscale but very comfortable The menu is quite large- i usually stick to one of their pastas and have never been disappointed. The wine list isnt extensive but is certainly adequate. I highly recommend Toscafino.

Great food and service. I will always stop here when I visit the Rio Grande Valley and have always enjoyed the experience. Gerardo and Cesar at the bar are awesome!

Good ambient, friendly service, ample space, variety of foods to choose from. The Margarita on the rocks was really good. We had the Tomahawk steak very good as well. Live music was a bit loud, but they did turn it down when we asked. Nice place to have lunch or dinner.

One of the worst meals I've had. Ordered the ribeye with fettuccine and it was cold and hard. The pasta was also cold. This is unacceptable because we were the only customers there, so it's not like they were so busy that they couldn't put some effort into it. The waiter was made aware and he proceeded to confer with... More

I needed to prepare a party for my boss's retirement party and Toscafino was the perfect spot. Carlos, the restaurant manager, closed the outside patio for the party. The decorations and the food were outstanding. He was able to set up a private bar for us outside as well as private music - which all i had to do was... More

Ricardo took care of us tonight and it was great. The steak was the best we've had in valley. Drinks were good. Ricardo was amazing, his timing was perfect and he sense of humor fit us well and he seemed to read all of his tables as well as he read us. We will definitely be back. Best restaurant in... More
