We thoroughly enjoyed our perfectly grilled steak dinner, served with a crisp salad, a potato or rice side, and Texas toast! Very reasonably priced. Service was exceptional and quick! Full bar and a very "country" atmosphere, fitting Albuquerque! Guy Fieri shot a DDD here 5 years ago. Some of the staff still here from that show! Cooks were "spot on"... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local resident. The atmosphere was excellent but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the 14 oz striploin and my wife ordered the shrimp. My steak was cooked to order, medium rare, but was so full of sinew and connective tissue as to be almost uneatable. My wife's shrimp were really rubbery and overcooked.... More

The Monte Carlo is a hidden jewel in Albuquerque. Construction makes it a little difficult to get to and when you pull up it looks like a convenience store. BUT.......very local, filled with local people and you can bet you will have to wait. I definitely is worth the wait and no fancy dress up place. Great food with a... More

No joke. Don't miss this for a good steak at a cheap price. 10 oz rib eye special, mid-week, $14.95 comes with a classic iceberg salad and a potato. Or the hamburger steak with green chile. Hard working waitresses and a family diner atmosphere ... full bar. This is typical old Albuquerque and you may find yourself dining next to... More

This place has the best meat ever , fresh, tender . The salad is not the best , but no one goes here for the salad . LOL ! It is very old school dining. Feels like you stepped into 1962 or 1972 ! Parking is good, easy to find ! On Old Route 66 !

We went there regarding the recommendations what we see in Tripadvisor for this restaurant. We want to see a real American restaurant, not one of this high luxury class restaurants. Friendly waitress and all what you expect to get in a steak house. To much for me to eat at the end. When I come here again, will go there... More

We needed a break from Green Chili's and spice so found this little place. It's a very unassuming atmosphere (old school?) with what looks like a great tradition. Great prices great drinks great service. Food was very solid.. nice steak and well done. I'm glad I found this after a long day

Was recommended by the front desk of our hotel nearby. The food was fine, nothing fabulous but decently priced. But the atmosphere and the decor is worth the visit. Completely out of the 1970s or early 80s, this place is definitely a throwback. My sirloin was just okay, but my husband's ribeye was much better. My daughter had a good... More

I saw this place on tv, and just have to go to it. Entering through the liquor store seems weird at first, but the staff knows the drill and directed us right to the back. Great steak, good service and value for what we paid. Lots of charming stuff on the walls, so take a look around.

Stop at the Monte Carlo and had an amazing steak. Had the large ribeye with bake potato. Steak was juicy and delicious. The servers are great and make sure everything is great. Better steak then most restaurants in town. Will be back often to try more from the menu.
