The Wednesday and Saturday specials are outstanding, shredded beef burritos smothered in chile con queso, with a side of guacamole. Great for friends and family visits.

Off the beaten path and clearly favored by locals. La Salita served up a great meal for all in their casual, down to earth, strip mall setting. Chili rellenos and guacamole enchiladas were spectacular. Perfectly on the spicy side.

This was my second visit to La Salita in about 6 months on a business trip to Albuquerque. Had the frito chili pie, and my colleague had a combo plate with an enchilada, a taco, rice and beans, and a sopaipilla. Everything was really good, and the prices are reasonable.

...but also the pic on trip advisor I saw of the refried beans (not whole) piqued my interest. I miss SoCal refried beans so much... Not whole beans in a watery sauce. The refried beans didn't disappoint! First of all, chile rellenos were crispy not soggy and tasted great! Though I'm used to red chile on chile rellenos, get the... More

I always come here and grab the 3 item combo, grab the meat of the day in 2 enchiladas along with a swiss cheese relleno. Absolutely amazing. It does get busy so I recommend showing up early.

A great New Mexican experience. I enjoyed their B.O.G. Burrito, a Tue/Wed special. It was fabulous, and lordy was there a ton of braised pork in it. I got it 'christmas' and it definitely brought the slow-burn heat. But they have Sopapillas a la carte for $.25 per, so I got the table eight of those beauties for sopping up... More

We ate here on the recommendation of a friend that it is really kid friendly, which it is. Kids under 6 get a finger plate free, which is awesome. The rice that is served with the finger plate was much too spicy for my kid. The server was super friendly. The service was a bit slow and it took longer... More

Lite bite beef enchiladas with a fried egg can not be beat. What more can you ask for when in Albuquerque, NM.

Read about this place on a blog about food in NM and thought we'd try it out. Great food. We had the burrito de Eduardo with green chile with whole beans as the side. Really good and the service was pretty darn good as well.
